Buppies, Mate, thanks but this all happened 15 years ago.
Pack a huge thermos of coffee to share with your mountain top casual friends. Della looking great.73 going to 99 again.
Took a good hike yesterday with some weight in my backpack...training for a future long hike. Then went on to town for some groceries. Picked up a couple of subs for us...they had a new one...salsa verde chicken cheese with grilled onions...I knew my sweet wife would love that. Then I cut her hair, and she traveled back to son and DIL's house yesterday to babysit again. Della and I played outside, then came in to cool off and chill.
Prayers for your daughter, m70.
Don, garage looks great! Where are the fishing poles???They left for the day garage temp 96. They have just have a little trim work to do and door handles to put on. Over 230 sq ft of storage space added to garage. Finishing up tomorrow and then I can organize and load them up.
While they were doing the installation I was busy chipping away rock on the hearth room fireplace in order to remove the glass to clean. It was apparent this was the first clean in since it was built. It took me 4 hours to chip away the obstruction rock so we could pull the glass panel up and out.
The pool looks too good to pass up. Water temp is 90, going to turn the spa on for sore shoulders from all of that chipping with s hammer.
Yes, may she rest in peace.Good morning! 77˚F even with cloudy skies we will be in the upper 90s today. I hope the garage cabinet installers finish before noon to take advantage of the 80s temp.
Hospice has me trained, after his breakfast he leads me to the veranda to watch the sun rise while I drink my coffee and read TractorNet.
Today is the one year Anniversary of my Mothers death. May she RIP.
Sorry about your DMV drama....I feel your password pain, Paul. The past few weeks I've been trying to update the address for my vehicles and driver's license, and the DMV website has been anything but helpful. Finally got a call back from a real person yesterday, who couldn't find anything wrong and told me to wait another couple weeks to see if it fixes itself. And if it doesn't, I'm to photograph the error message on the screen, print it out, and take it with me to a DMV office. Then and only then will I be admitted to their hallowed halls. Yes, they're forcing us to do all our registration and driver's license stuff online. And the idiots minding the store can't even fix a simple password problem.
The previous tires on the Ford came from Costco, and after five years they refused to rebalance or even rotate the tires, claiming they should be replaced. BS, they had tons of tread left and showed no cracks, splits, cuts or other defects. Even when they did rotate them, it took them well over an hour, even though I had an appointment. I won't be back to Costco for tires again.
Yes, ditto Ken.Prayer for your father both aunts and you Ken
Yep, a basket of stuff costs $$$ nowadays.Trip to Costco went well. Left over $600 for what appeared a lesser amount of stuff. We did splurge on a couple of food items, some nice crab legs and the stuffed salmon which we’ll share with friends this afternoon. The hot dog and soda made for a cheap lunch, cheaper than filling the truck with E0.
Thanks for sharing Wagtail.Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of -0.2C and it's presently 9.7C, overcast & fairly calm. Rain is predicted this arvo.
Nothing really planned for today except to purchase a couple of concert tickets for PostModern Jukebox who are touring in Aus in February. I'll need to book flights too.
That's about it, take care all.
G'day Scotty. As I wrote and in my case, it was initially discovered via the ultrasound. The next day I was then scheduled for an MRI (the one where they inject you with some sort of 'yucky tasting' iodine(?) solution). A couple of days later I visited the Surgeon who confirmed that it was cancer, just by the size of it, and a week later I had the nephrectomy.
I know that this time-line sounds 'fast', but I was in the Navy at the time. Because of that, I don't even know what the whole thing cost... it was just 'done'.
Easy-peasy... they just, key-hole, popped the 'bad boy' out (along with the associated lymph nodes). No "chemo" or radiation follow-up required.
Sodamo/ David, early morning Amazon package was iHealth BP reader. Got a chance to open package this afternoon and use it. Almost as easy to use as wrist BP reader. Thanks for the Amazon link.
