76F and cloudy @ 13:00, calling for a high of 82F for the day.
Got right tank on Cub refilled a couple of days ago, mowed most of areas down here around the house ... except for the really dry, dusty areas underneath the trees where the grass doesn't grow much anyways and I still need to pick up sticks.
Attempted to pull three 4 x 4 posts where the dog kennel used to be behind the garage. They wouldn't budge and ended up breaking off flush with the ground. Hauled those up to the pallets next to the shop. Will make it easier to mow.
Rescreened the material in the pile that had been through the screen once and got rid of that.
Then back to screening unscreened compost. Still plenty left to go.
Hauled 6 bucketloads of screened material down to new planting area on the north end of the west planting bed and dumped it.
Woman sent me a picture the other day: Swamp Milkweed doing the job attracting the Monarchs ...

:
Woman expressed concern there was a snotload of bugs on the Swamp Milkweed and was worried it might be those invasive Spotted Lanternflys and wondered if She should be spraying them ...
Turns out it was just Large Milkweed Bugs (Oncopeltus fasciatus)... which aren't anything to be concerned about:
Went out and picked up 4 gallons of diesel for the Kubota on Wednesday and got it refueled.
Sprayed weeds along the edge of the driveway down here by the house, emptying one sprayer yesterday.
Put out some cracked corn and peanuts for the ground feeders.
Hauled down another bucketload of screened compost for the new planting area and got that all spread out:
Should be ready to go for planting.
Did some pruning on the low branches on the one arborvitae in the picture above, hauled the trimmings around back to the brush pile.
Hooked up the water buffalo and brought it up and watered the small "volunteer" arborvitae that was coming up.
Swapped out the Light Material bucket and put the pallet forks on.
Hauled the 3 trunk stump from the maple tree that was recently taken down on the east side of the garden up to the compost/woodlot.
Then moved the 10 deck joists that were sitting out front on saw horses over to the barn so that I could work on them while it's raining.
Loaded up the sawhorses in the dump cart and hauled those over after that.
Took the live trap over to the barn and set and baited it.
Refilled that one sprayer with glyphosate.
Woman was out weeding the flower bed this morning, also picking veggies and brought in a bucket of those.
Grass has really greened up with all the rain we had a while back, more rain over the next few days should help keep it green.
Front lawn has grown enough that it needs mowed again ...

... so that might be on the agenda for today.
Check live trap for customers.
Otherwise see what else comes up.
Hope everyone is having a decent Friday ...
