Wngsprd, good news on mom.

We stopped at lot last week, grass real tall. Tomorrow it gets cut.
Today I mow here, also tall, but only 8 days, not a month. When it dries up.
62° now. Animals all fed, wife took Honda to try it out. Socket not quite deep enough, didn’t fully seat on sensor, and slipped off when tight.

I got this pic sent to me from the SIL. I just replaced the water pump and did an oil change. I'll head over today, to see what happened "this time"... Looks to be leaking further back from "where I was", so I'm thinking a hydraulic hose. It's pretty old, as I am getting. He's eyeing a new/bigger unit, which would be nice.

Hope not the middle.

Good Morning,
Ct, 49 to start going to 71 ! Clear skies and no humidity! It has a fall feel out here today.

Ron , nice picture of the moon !

Wngsprd, I don’t know the tire size but is a tube an option? I repaired the front tire on the WH last year with a tube and it worked great !

In work this morning cleaning up the truck for fall. A little wash and wax.

Here is the new Toro ZT ! In Ct we only have an acre and don’t even mow all of that so this machine should be plenty for this property.

Hope all have a good Wednesday, we are heading north later this afternoon! 🙏

Nice mower. Which engine? I would like to pick up another zt for va lot, but need a shed first.
That way I could mow on a trip passing thru, like last week, and not have to make dedicated trip with the truck.

Things are looking up for my mom. She should be released from the hospital Thurs or Friday. Lou, thanks for sharing your experience.

Mowed for 3 hours...grass tall now that we got a couple of decent rains. But first, tried to plug leak in rear zero turn tire tread. Still leaks. Hole kinda big. Had fixed a year ago, but always slow leak. Replaced the plug twice yesterday. Any body ever tried to use two plugs at the same time? Or maybe I can find bigger ones...or maybe there will be a better approach when I get time to research.
My mower thought that it needed new shoes and I just didn't feel like messing with that route this spring so I went this way.

My larger rear tire was losing air fast enough that you could see it going down, it took almost a half gallon or maybe a bit over a half I don't recall exactly how much for the tire size it was. But it hasn't lost a drop of air this summer. One day I need to do the other rear which means breaking it down and pulling out the tube that is in there a bit twisted, install a new valve stem and give it it's dose.
It is much more effective then slime or the other similar products.

the other one had boogered up front forks (the reason I was sporting a busted knee). 12 weeks in a cast, 6 in hospital and another 6 on the street.
That accident is probably part of the reason why the left knee is giving me all kinds of grief now. Oh well, live and learn.
Twin sons of different mothers, Bill.

In the early '70s I saved up my paper route earnings and bought a Schwinn Paramount brand new for $300. We used to ride weekends out in the country, and we'd sprint for county and city line signs. One afternoon at the end of a ride I was going for one of those signs when a car backed out of a driveway right in front of me. I swerved but still glanced off the back bumper. The bike hit a fire hydrant and I ended up flying over the handlebars and landing on a sidewalk. Got skinned up pretty good and left knee was too painful to walk on for a week or so. Car driver paid to replace the frame. In those days, I didn't even go to the doctor, so I got nothing for medical. Local bike shop sent the frame away to Schwinn to be repaired, but after a couple months went by they admitted they'd lost it somehow. So I took the refunded money and bought a Legnano frame, a smaller size that fit me better, with Columbus tubes that were stiffer, too. Fast forward a year, and the bike shop calls and says they found the bent frame. My dad paid $60 for the repair, and built up the frame with mostly Campy Record parts. Except for Shimano brakes and bar end shifters. I think he rode it maybe a dozen times. I had it out a time or two when I went back to visit in the summer. Both bikes are still in the closet in the spare room, and I should try to sell them as I don't like riding on the roads out here because of the traffic and congestion. Back in the '70s in Ohio, there was a country road every mile in the flat parts of the state, and even the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in the southeast part of the state had lots of roads that only had local traffic on them. Good riding on bicycles, and later, motorcycles. Those were the days!

Interesting height and speed control functions.

What's the cut size?

No roll bar?

Good Camel.

Wife and I went to Egypt and were by the pyramids, a few years before my son was born.

Guy came over and asked if we wanted to ride some camels.
Shows us a beautiful, clean white one and has another brown one behind it.
Has me get on the white one.

Brings the second one around for wife, and it's covered in flies and dirty.
Starts chasing wife with the camel for her to get on, saying Good Camel, Good Camel.
Like Keystone cops , but with camels. Wish I had video.

We finally just put her on my camel and wandered around for a while.

So when someone tries to pawn something crappy on us, we use the code words good camel!
