Nah... it was an Illinois mother, named Vesta Stoudt!Duct tape……God’s greatest gift to mankind…..
Interesting... the 5 times taking off on a 12% grade within 5 minutes, was part of the test protocol when we upped the GVW of VW Crafter (same as MB Sprinter yet with VW 2.5 TDI and a VW badge) from 6.3 ton to 7.5 ton..SAE J2807 (wikipedia link) provides an industry standard testing method; I can't find a free copy to read, but this motortrend article talks more about it; apparently it goes so far as to specify limits the effects on the tow vehicle's steering by the towed load - and yes, trailer brakes are assumed, though presumably the spec itself will state what the trailer braking requirements are (the wiki page mentions braking from 20mph
My neighbour had the same. He said when he planted that forest 25 years ago, snowfall put the trees to the ground. Then they grew back kinked so he had them chipped for energy production, they were useless for his Wood-mizer, though he planted them for timber.
Yeah thats just painful, poor bridge. How can you not know that the loaded dump truck you're driving exceeds the 3 ton limit? Heck, a full sized pickup with e adult passengers is overweight.

Overweight truck falls through historic bridge, leaves gaping hole
Members of the Maine Department of Transportation say Babb's Covered Bridge, an exact replica of the oldest covered bridge in the state, will be closed for months.www.wmtw.com
LOL! Go ahead and compare the capabilities and value of the two. I'll wait.
Now I'm not saying it isn't RIDICULOUS that truck prices have soared that much in the last 5 years. But the EV flex is laughable.
My son in law tried to fit some 16ft lumber in his truck with a 6.5ft bed yesterday. Didn't work out well.
I ran down with the trailer and hauled them to his house![]()
My son in law didn't have the rear sliding windowLOL - I loaded 16 foot stuff in my F150 with a 5.5 foot bed all the time. I just opened the rear sliding window, and slide the board all the way in. Fits with very little overhang! I did my basement ceiling with five eights tongue and groove. Just bought all 16 foot boards, and I could pack 18 of them in at a time
