A few Kids die every year playing football, but they also die playing other sports. There’s a “war on football” that’s been going on for about 20 years ago to get it banned.good morning all
a cool 53 in Mansfield Mo.
leaving later this morning with several stops, need to get gas and going to Walmart in Springfield to do some food shopping. Then North to Longview Campground in Lee's Summit, MO, where I should have gone last night instead of here. Has a late 2pm check in so can't leave early like I normally do so going to kill some time in Walmart.
Missouri is very strange in something, the way they name their roads.
Many of them are alphabetical, A, D, AA, VV, UU how in the world did they come up with that?
hot coffee going down nicely in a cool rv, about 66 in here and nice.
RNG just emailed me and is all set to solder my wires when I get to Orcutt CA. I will have a brand new transfer switch to install by then, maybe he can be my official world famous rv tech....
Kyle, are you a football coach? I read a third child died this year of football injuries, have always wondered if the fun of the game we all love is just too dangerous for little kids. I worry that sometimes these boys play just to please their fathers. Other sports much less risky; I played soccer.
I know they have improved equipment safety, clearly you can't get all the risk out of this game. For adults, fine. 10 year olds?
I think I'd be a nervous wreck, which is one reason I probably didn't have kids
I don't know about any war on football, and I do understand the benefits of team sports, having played them. Last year three kids died of head injuries and ten died of heat stroke and other issues from football. Some probably unknown serious health issues that showed up. But football creates more injuries than any other sport. Like boxing, it's the brain injuries that are at real issue. Having said that, bicycling is number two...not like we are going to stop that...A few Kids die every year playing football, but they also die playing other sports. Sometimes the death is the result of improperly trained coaches.
Football saves many more lives than it takes. It brings at-risk kids into something that keeps them out of trouble, like death from gangs, drugs, etc.
Mostly, yes indeed those are multiple boo boos ! And Ryan had to go to the ER yesterday because he had a cut over his right eye ! We thought he might need a couple of stitches but they ended up gluing it ! He was rough housing with his cousin, fell off the couch and hit his head on the coffee table !Scott(vt) nice pics, is that a booboo on the one knee?
Paul, Newburg isn’t that far , but if I leave the family I wil be in the dog house !If only Scott wasn’t at the beach…..)
