l'm still learning new stuff daily but l'll try to answer this one.

No fuel no power and it's not going to run, Low fuel pressure low power. Rule of thumb on a Diesel. It's a over heating water Temp. problem. So how fuel is getting it hot is the big question on this thread?

Lean air/fuel mixtures cause engines to run hotter than richer a/f ratios.
Power loss and overheating--while separate symptoms--could point to a common cause.
My question: Are you sure there's not some sort of "smart engine monitoring system" that protects against overheating, over-revving or low engine-oil pressure situations? Would that reduce/limit horsepower?

Valve adjustment time. Should've been done by now anyway with 600hrs so at least pull the valve cover and check the gaps.

Lean and rich fuel mixtures aren’t really relevant when it comes to diesels. They vary the amount of fuel injected to make more power. When at idle very lean and when making full power more fuel injected. Unlike a gas engine, a diesel can be over fueled and still run fine but make quite a bit of black smoke. Over fuel them to much you can start burning a piston which usually happens when an injector sticks open.

You can have a full radiator but that don't mean the ratio is correct

So i re-fueled up the tractor and haven't had the issue since when i had the issue it was running low on diesel. The tractor also sites outside so it's exposed to rain.

As far as the over heating issue i think it's because the bush hog is to large for the tractor.

When the tank is run low it is much more likely to draw water or contaminants into the fuel lines, causing a multitude of problems.
I think I would be investigating the fuel quality in the tank and sediment bowl, if it has one.
