I’m a homeowner, but my tractor and other valuables get use of my garage.
So, I’m in the homeowner category, but not with a garage to baby an EV.
My ICE vehicles sit outside.
For me to switch the car to an EV ( no reasonable EV trucks yet) would mean we’d have to plug in daily outdoors in the rain, and snow.
My 25 cents electric rate is more than gasoline at 36 mpg.
It would be a step backwards in convenience.
There’s no compelling reason for me to change, yet.
Agreed on the conclusion, but because of the cost, not because of having to plug a cord in outdoors a few times per week. 😀

My gas stations are all outdoors. Sometimes I need to get gas when it’s raining.

Every gas station I go to has a protective canopy for refueling.
Protects you from rain and snow unless it’s heavy winds.
Your’s don’t?

I don’t usually fill up during snowstorms either.

Wife’s car. She doesn’t want to have to come home late at night and plug it in during rain or snowstorms.
Her drive is pretty far. Would have to plug in often. It’s pretty understandable if you live it.

You live in Canada so you deserve to suffer under the heavy hand of Little Men you allow to run your government and economy.
Wow, you and douche Trad arent sharing space in the same head? This is low, even for the both of you.

Battery car engineers need to perfect the inductive charge coil for EV’s, just like an IPhone, and make it affordable. Park over it. Done. No F-ing around with daily plugging/unplugging

But if you had guests with need of a means of charging an EV then you would find a way. One of many companies offering this hardware and service:

Laws vary by state as to whether you can bill by the kWh but many have amended to permit kWh billing for EVs. For example you can not bill your RV guests by the kWh.
I think you missed my point, they lived here month or years while working. We did flat rate billing, power included. Could not do that with the added cost of EV charging, they would all drive in excess of 150 miles per day to get food. Nothing around here.
Moot point I saw the writing on the wall and chose not to continue playing. Closed shop, kicked everyone out and now I feed cattle and deer where the people used to be.
Much nicer for me.

People need more supervision and fencing than cattle. Breakage is a wash. People stay mad when you dress them down, cattle will love you again as soon as you bring food.
Cattle leave biodegradable poo, people leave bottle, wrappers, fishing line and socks (I have no idea why, but I cut up at least 3 pair every week) . and lots of other trash. They both will leave ruts in the muddy spots.
Hope that is what you meant. If just people, working contractors are less trouble than weekenders

It's a mix here. Probably more than half have a canopy. But it doesn't change my opinion that plugging a cord into the car once or twice per week, even outside, is easier and faster than driving to a gas station and standing next to a pump while it does its thing. That's one of my least favorite chores.

Call me a HP junkie, because my sedan gets 12 mpg and my pickup truck gets 14 mpg. That all translates to more hours wasted standing next to a gas pump per year, than I'd care to count. There's a lot I dislike about EV's, but the ability to let the thing refuel while I sleep each night isn't one of them. :ROFLMAO:
