Agreed on the conclusion, but because of the cost, not because of having to plug a cord in outdoors a few times per week.

My gas stations are all outdoors. Sometimes I need to get gas when it’s raining.
They usually have an awning over the gas pumps.

So, build an awning over your driveway, if you're really that fragile. :D

Honestly, it takes me several minutes to put 30 gallons of fuel in the 36 gallon tank on my pickup. I've never owned an EV, but I'd bet plugging in that cord takes less than one-tenth of that time. Plus, it's at your house! Wait until there's a break in the rain, if it's really that big a problem for you!

There are a lot of reasons to want to stay with ICE, and not transition to EV. But I'm sorry... the convenience of fueling the damn thing in your own driveway is not one of them!

She probably wouldn't want to do that here in Arkansas. People tend to take trespassing seriously.

Granted most are yuppy folks that went for the novelty, at least from what I've seen with the Tesla drivers.

And the one dude with the Cyber Truck..... well he's the poster child for having a small package. Dude bought it for the "status" and attention. And is a grade a D bag based on observing how he was treating the wait staff at the restaraunt he was hanging out in.

He happened to be at the table next to us. And we made that determination before seeing him head out to the truck.

ANOTHER HAPPY TESLA OWNER !

Another Old event.

What are these breaking News articles? bot repostings? of 2 year old stories? Over and Over?

How old was the Tesla? apparently over 8 years old or 100,000 miles.

Where is the news from today with the articles subject owner?

Battery car engineers need to perfect the inductive charge coil for EV’s, just like an IPhone, and make it affordable. Park over it. Done. No F-ing around with daily plugging/unplugging
I've had mixed luck with those types of chargers. They are in android phones as well.

I've found they are hit and miss. Especially if you have an otter box on the phone.

Same here. Must be a UK thing? They don't carry over there so she just decided to take advantage of someone.

I am surprised he didn't say sure go ahead but leave a few bucks/pounds on the charger... I do have to pay the electric bill you are running up.

China's SAIC had a working unit for the Marvel X EV but i think it was only in the 85% efficiency range, and that waste power is heat. Tesla bought a company that has some new advances in the efficiency area IIRC they are well into the 90's %. In ten years I bet it will be the preferred method of charging EV's.

Good article. Grump and Trad, will of course call it stupid

No, I would just keep calling you an ignorant fool.
You don’t own an EV so don’t have a clue about charging on the road.
We traveled from East Texas to Huntsville and back in our tesla with no issues.
Even going to Austin there was a Bucees with 48 superchargers. Even if the chargers were all full, there would be an available charger within minutes.
You can’t lump all Teslas with an article talking about EVs as the charging network is extremely efficient.

Who is being abusive? Try looking in a mirror.

There will be no EV mandate but in select backwards progressive left communities who will suffer great(er) economic collapse. Ever try to rent a U-Haul one-way out of California? Rates have been double (or more) than to bring a U-Haul in to California. Is easy to verify on the U-Haul website.

120V 15A isn’t terribly hard to get. Is what I have used for 90% of my charging the past year.

The Briben plan is very much “on every street corner” as is your belief poor destitute renters must be provided public charging facilities because there will never be charging facilities provided at their apartments with swimming pools, gyms, and tennis courts.

You speak with authority you have not earned. You have no experience. Your superior intellect has thought about it, reached a conclusion, now you know all there is to know because of your superior intelligence.

Kablam! You would think crybaby Jake would have surrendered to your experienced superior arguments

My wife's car has one of those built in chargers. To activate, you push your phone down into a slot in the center console. The issue I have with it is the heat it generates. And since it's an enclosed spot, it doesn't have anywhere to go.

Last time I tried it, I had maybe a 3% gain on my battery, and the phone was scorching when it came out.

I haven't used in since.
