Korean tractor dilemma

I think Yanmar can also make that claim. When you can find them.
TYM makes some Yanmar models now.

I believe Kubota sources parts from and uses China for some manufacturing.

It's a world economy, like it or not.

TYM has some models that are as in-house as JD and Kubota (since they bought Kukje).

Very few sweeping generalizations work. You can say JD and Kubota cost more (apples to apples) because it is demonstrably so. Much of the rest is opinion and speculation.

OP, LS uses a lower lift height, so its max lift is skewed. They aren't hiding it, but many don't notice.

4820 isn’t a little tractor which may mean it will have better longevity in real life compared to a 25hp utility tractor. And you have the kujke engine in what was otherwise a Branson tractor until TYM took them over or am I mistaken?
I have the legacy TYM cousin of his tractor. I'm at 48 hours and not a lick of trouble.

Every brand has units that have issues.

The independent tractor repair shops around me are mostly gone. There's one independent guy in a nearby town, but I hear he stays booked for months on end. The local name brand dealers only want to work on their brands. DPF and electronic rail injection has increased the potential for breakdowns and may require dealer service. The Kujke used by Branson/TYM does seem to be less complicated. But you'd better have good dealer support for whatever you buy in case your machine needs dealer repair later.

Kubota does have Chinese manufacturing, but I believe it’s for the Chinese market. The U.S. sold Kubotas are primarily built in Japan, with components like loaders and few other items built in the U.S. and final assembly in the U.S. From their U.S. website. I do understand that Yanmar does offer a few TYM built models but most of their models are built in Japan with final assembly in the U.S.

Our local Independent guy just started selling Bobcat. They still work on anything though.

I'd like to see someone with on-site mobile service become established.

It's the parts. They assemble (manufacture) in many places. Components (all brands) come from all over. While I'm sure many Chinese Kubotas stay in China, I wouldn't assume some of those don't get imported into Japan and exported looking like Japanese-built units. All depends on supply and demand in China.

IDK. Just reporting what’s on the Kubota USA website.

Massey is japan aswell. Its their culture, they have no life. Every thing is work work work and they have alot of pride. Koreans do alot of out sourcing, parts come from china vietnam ect. Plus they dont care as much. Remember when daewoo cars came to america? They were pure junk, same goes for kias and hyundais today.
I think you have answered your question

There was never a question. There is a racial bias against Koreans similar to that against Japanese in the 70s. Lots of unsubstantiated claims and inuendo.

TYM and Daedong (Kioti) are not new to the business. They are also not related to the auto mfgs. Assuming the tractors are anything like Daewoo is ignorant of the manufacturers in question. Modern KIAs have better reliability data than US nameplates. Hyundai has also been better than average lately.
