Truck and Tractor or worth about the same amount of money. I have to fold the ROPS down before the tractor fits. In the winter time tractor never gets used as i use it to mow the yard in the summer and it seems to never snow anymore as i do have a plow and blower for it.

I kept my last tractor outside for 15 yrs. It deteriorated hoses, seat, rubber and plastic crumbled. My new tractor, acquired last year, now stays in the barn. We tend to trade trucks more often than tractors so the negative effects are less on the truck, van, and a car kept outside....my daily driver and 2 collector cars are indoors. The southern sun in brutal on paint and plastic. How about a carport for the truck?

Wifey's car (02 Olds Alero 60K miles and looks new) is in one side of the garage. My welding equipment and tools are in the other side. Built a shed large enough for the L4240. Smaller shed houses the Ford 1210. Trailblazer (08 and 272K miles and some rust) sits outside. Been thinking about a newer SUV but no rush.

Everything of here is under a roof, back before I had the time or money to add more sheds, barns or whatever I used the temporary shelters or tarps to keep down exposure to the elements. Wasn't ideal but it worked.

After I bought the old flatbed truck that I had planned to leave out, SWMBO told me to figure out a way to get it under roof as well. She knows what sitting out can do to vehicles.

Agree with John - get an inexpensive hoop shed (Harbor Freight etc) 12x20 and keep it covered out of the elements. Even a lean-to or carport so its protected.

Tarps are not great - critters like to make nests, they trap water etc. - an open lean-to or carport lets air thru and less critters take up residence.

Agreed. Get a carport or lean-to and a cat :)

The vehicles seem more weatherized than the open station tractor, so I don't mind them sitting outdoors.

With the grill, toolchest, and lawnmower behind it the tractor only fits 3/4 of the way anyhow. The Sorento would fit similarly I'm sure, but the F350, I wouldn't bother even if tge garage was empty.

I would like to but everything is so costly.
I put up a lean-to that has most of my implements under it, for under $1k, with a metal roof. No varments bother anything.

Cars, tractors, and all implements with moving parts are in garage or barn.

Barn is now twice as big as when it was built in 1992
