That's why I asked, kinda seems like BS.
As much as you may distrust "the media", someone out there should have the same story, with names to quote. In writing, preferably, not in video form. The more sources that you can cross-reference, the notion of reliability goes up.
If a story is only on video, you can pretty much ignore it. If it's only "reported" on one sketchy website, ignore it. If it's only on one "side"'s websites, it's very likely that side's propaganda.
These aren't hard & fast rules; after all, a story has to break somewhere. But after a couple hours it should be practically everywhere if there's even an ounce of truth to it.
