I had to buy some new trailer boards after I broke through the deck with a forklift.

That reminded me of when I worked at the airport in the 80's and had a contract to load a C130 every night for some shady freight company. My boss leased a HUGE forklift, something like 30K lift. Way too big. Anyhow, contract ended and boss told me to driver the forklift down to a freight dock and drive it onto a semi trailer. Now I had ZERO experience with trucking at the time, but I looked at that trailer, and said, this is not meant for something of this size. It should be a low trailer meant for heavy equipment, not a high wooden deck trailer. He basically told me to shut up and drive it on. So I did. It crashed through the first set of planks and that was that. Half on the dock, half stuck through the trailer. I shut if off, pulled the key, climbed down and handed the keys to the boss and stood there looking at it with him. :ROFLMAO:

He never did say anything else about it. It had to sit there for a week until they could get a crane large enough to lift it off. ;)

This lift is like 8,500 pounds but still a lot higher point load than any other equipment I have. The tracked skid steer or mini x could probably drive on the trailer without any deck boards.
