Interesting fungi(?) spied on the tree over the weekend. This one was over a foot wide! Then a cedar who's still trying to make it into the big world.

I pruned up my lilacs, stack of pruned limbs about 6 feet high that I left sitting in the yard because it was too late in the day to haul them off. Next morning I found a flock of quail had decided those prunings were an ideal place to hang out. Shot through my triple-pane kitchen window so not a very sharp photo.

She stopped there, and it was perfect.

In my back yard at 530 this morning. I've caught at least 4 different bucks on video in the past week and dozens of doe. They know they're safe here in the neighborhood between the houses. The rut is definitely on here in PA.
