Good day everyone. Can somebody tell me how many feet of cable, 1/2 inch, the Farmi has. I see some wild figures on the net.

Never seen or heard of a question like this??
You are telling nothing
what's a Farmi?
what cable? what's it for?
What kind of cable? control cables, lifting/hoist cables, armored cables,

I believe that would have about 165 feet of cable.

The Farmi W60 is A three point log winch for the back of you tractor depending on the size of your tractor. I believe it has A 1/2 pulling cable but I didn't know the length. They offer A synthetic cable but I don't think I will consider that.
I have done alot of reading and have been considering A Wallenstein FX 140. It has A little more pulling power and A trailer hitch but what's even better I can get one delivered with A directional snatchblock for over $2000.00 less.

When I was in the market it seemed like all the winches came with 50 meters of cable, 50 meters is about 165 feet. I rarely use more than 50' but having another 100'+ on hand is a good thing.

Thank you for the information I didn't know what it was.

If you need any cable this company has it for:

1/2 x 165' Cable w/Ferrule

$209.53

I have a new Wallenstein FX140 that will be used with a NH 110 Power Star. The tractor has a loader so it is a big rig in the woods. I need to mount a skid plate or two under the tractor to protect the hoses, wires, etc. and plan to build some sweeps. What tractor will you be using with your winch?

What do you think of your Wallenstein? I was really sold on A Farmi but then I got to pricing and comparing and the FX 140 Wallenstein seems like A good deal.

Don't forget to include a self releasing snatch block. In my hilly tight forest it is a lifesaver.

If you have occasion to completely spool out all the cable, grab a can of bright spray paint. I painted a portion of my cable to let me know when I was getting to the end. I left 10' unpainted, and then painted about 10. When I see the painted cable I know I better be close, and when the unpainted part shows up after that I better be choking up a log.

Got the Wallenstein FX 140 ordered, with the self releasing snatchblock and A chainsaw scabbard. Since they have to order from the factory I asked for A green winch.
That sounds like A good idea painting the cable.

I have that same winch. I bet that farmi is stouter than the FX140 because that W60 has a bigger sprocket on the winch. That farmi is high though. Can tell you all about the FX140.
