What else do you do with forks besides lift pallets?

I have used a well placed fork to jack a car up for a tire change.

Note the emphasis on "well placed" fork. I know of a guy that did not get it well placed and tossed around $800 out the widow. Just mentioning for a friend.

I've been using a 40' shipping container for the past 20 years, which was a real hassle getting implements in and out of. The cabbed tractor that I got in 2016 wouldn't fit height wise, so barn dreaming / planning started then.

With my forks on the 3-point hitch, I lifted the end of my workshop container and dragged it 200 meters and across a public road to a new location.

I am trying firewood bags this winter. BX2230 holding up empty bag while filling from firewood processor. B26TLB moves the bags via the straps on top or the pallet below. Most of the wood is dead ash. Jon

Today was the first time in a year I used my forks for their actual purpose and removed a 350 lb toolbox on a pallet from my trailer.

No damage, easy to remove and an impossible task was made easy. I will always have forks.

Forks are also nice to lift up your mm mower deck so you can clean it and/or replace blades at standing height.
And do the same with a lawn tractor.

Build or buy a solid surface pallet to use as a portable work bench.
It pains my back to work on lawn equipment so I put it on the solid (ABS) pallet and work on it at a comfortable height.

Two times in one week I my forks for actually lifting a pallet. I had a guy give me a good used propane suspended heater that was pretty heavy. He said he managed to get in on a pallet on the back of his truck but we would need four guys to get it out. OK, sure.

I used the forks, scooped it up and had it in the barn in just a few minutes. Job done.

Me & a helper pulled & ran around 1,200ft of rubber hose overhead off of 2 big spools.

Stepping off ladder onto forks then across to another ladder.

Worked great

Tractor, brush hog, box blade .......my 1st gear. But, it should have been tractor,
pallet forks, long heavy breaker/demo bar (used to help line up 3pt implements), brush hog,
box blade etc etc
SSQA makes it easy breezy. Unload farm equipment
off semi trailers, unload heavy cast iron tub for house build, moving palletized generator and/or
3" trash pump, water tote, lumber etc etc just like everyone else.
I can't imagine not having pallet forks.
My point is, for the initial cost and all around usefulness forks should be the first implement purchased.
Just an old man's opinion.

I’ve used the forks to scoop under rocks I’ve hit with the mower to pull them out of the ground and also done the same with small trees and overgrowth like scrub bushes and such.
