I had a 2019 3.5 EB.. Only put about 25K on it before trading it in .. But had zero problems. Have a 2023 Raptor now with the 3.5EB and its been fine .. Only has 10K on it. .. What I have learned about the earlier EB motors is that they need cam phasers at about 80K. You need to keep the oil clean otherwise they tend to have turbo issues at about the same milage. Timing chains are about 125K.. They are a solid motor but do require maintenance.

i have a 2020 F150 3.5L ecoboost. love the truck. only has 55K miles, but works flawlessly. luckily its the evolution 2 engine, so no timing belt or turbo issues like the evolution 1 rigs. mine was also built after the issues with the phase sensor recall repairs that affected some units. i just lucked out.

I have a F150-2013-3.5 eco boost and it has run flawlessly.
170,000 miles
original plugs
to date battery/tires/brakes are all that has been done
So smooth I wonder sometimes if it is actually running

Mulitwe it sounds like you’re fixed up for some trouble free driving now. In other words you know what’s under the hood!

Shouldn't those plugs be changed?

It’s a common issue on the eco boost. I bounce over to the F150 forums on occasion and your problem isn’t unique but might have happened a little early.

I can’t remember when or even what kind of car but I helped someone change plugs once. They were platinum with a lot of miles on them, they looked brand new.

So now there are no more problems with the 3.5 eco-boost?
