Good morning!!!!

good morning all
a wet morning here too, going to rain all day
have zero planned for today, might get a few things done in garage.

Mostly, that was a lot of catching up to do
Phil, had terrible acid reflux myself, have bottles of Tums all over, under control now
Phil, try not to eat after 7pm and see if you can sleep with head raised a little.
they gave me a list of ten things not to eat/do and I was doing 8 of them...including breath mints.
who knew breath mints gave you GERD?
quite a list of things to avoid, but big late meals at holidays are a major issue

slept like a rock last night. Must have been Buppie's good morning/evening I didn't hear earlier...
hope you all have a good weekend

Foods that can worsen acid reflux include:
High-fat foods: Fatty meats, processed foods, fried foods, dairy products (especially full-fat milk and cheese)

Acidic foods: Citrus fruits (orange, grapefruit, lemon), tomatoes, tomato sauce, vinegar, onions, garlic

Spicy foods: Chili peppers, black pepper, cayenne pepper

Chocolate: Contains caffeine and theobromine, which relax the esophageal sphincter

Caffeine: Found in coffee, tea, and some sodas, caffeine relaxes the esophageal sphincter

Alcohol: Relaxes the esophageal sphincter and increases stomach acid production

Carbonated beverages: The pressure from the carbonation can push stomach acid back up into the esophagus

Other: Processed meats, artificial sweeteners, large meals, late-night eating
Currently on two meds and lots of tums myself. I'm pre barrets disease so get the scope every two years. Christmas is a hard time to eat right for me! I love cakes and cookies!! I have an adjustable bed bought just for this.

Today was much better! No issues or troubles with anyone. I spent the day rearranging and cleaning the shop. Nap time now.
Thanks for the reply!

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 10.3C and it's presently 18.1C, partly cloudy with a wee breeze.

Guests successfully picked up at the AP, home by 1900... followed by a long catch-up session with a 'few' bottles of wine.

As per usual, I'm off to Church in a bit and then the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.

Good Evening Drew,
Scott, I went on pantaprazole years ago and it finally was the one that worked for me. Dirt cheap too.
Is that an OTC drug or a prescription?
When I first started having trouble I got a prescription for 20 mg Omeprazole, but then found out I could buy 10mg OTC !
Just curious ! Thanks !

I believe it's only available by prescription
another "prazole" that inhibits acid production, vs treating symptoms

Morning all!
31 with freezing rain and sleet. Supposed to warm up for the next 3 days with rain forecast for all of them.
Yesterday was a pain! Started out with nephew being involved in a car accident at 12:45 am! He's ok but the car is totaled.
Then we got a call of no heat at the apartment! Out of fuel for the 4th time! Not supposed to happen as it's on automatic fill!
Spent the rest of the day at insurance company and body shop. At least no one was hurt!!

Currently having bad acid reflux attacks again. Have been waking me up during the night.
Hopefully will get better from here. Need to rid the house of all the foods I'm not supposed to eat!

Gave myself a few days away from the wood shop as things weren't going good there either. Kept having issues with wood trying to kill or maim me!
Maybe try again later today. Do need to go down and straighten out the shelves and benches. Also need to order a new circuit board for the pellet stove down there. Blower motor isn't coming up to speed as it should.
Glad nephew OK, sorry about the acid reflux. There are some things I have to be careful with. No Bell peppers for one. Too much peanut butter or chili can cause a bit of acid.
Sorry about wood shop mishaps. On a lathe, things "blow up" in milliseconds.
Also, I might warn you to wear a mask, especially while sanding. My buddy died from COPD around 65 after doing wood work most of his life.

Found a tick on me last night in shower...never had one embedded like this...wife did the "surgery" after I struggled a bit. DIL is a nurse and talked me into going to the urgent care this morning.
I've heard that to ward off Lyme it is important to seek medical help soon afterwards. Do they have a test? Do they give precautionary antibiotics?
Hoping for the best outcome.
Good morning!

Yes Kyle is getting the rain that is leap frogging over us. It is getting dry again, no rain for weeks. I had to add Water to the pool so the surface robot would not get hung up on the step.

Scored a very nice outdoor wood table and 4 chairs that only needs a light sanding and varnish from the co-signment store. Picked up my last 6 bags of mulch for the hedge beds so those two things are on the agenda today.

PT has ended and Boxing fitness class has taken its place. The Farm has a skeleton crew for the next month but I saw they are calling for people this weekend for the pony rides and petting zoo. They do call outs like this when the weather is good for a weekend and they get a rash of online sales for tickets. Since I can be exclusive to the tractor ride I will let the Kids work this weekend.

67˚ with a S then E wind getting to the mid 70s today.
Not much rain here to brag about. We did get about an inch a few days back, but only about .05" today. Still have cracks in the ground. I was down near the Texas coast, and we had all the wind funneling the fuel for the storms to feed the system that goes up to Tennessee today, but no rain today near Port Lavaca TX.

It was 81F today, and really clear after the rainless front went past. Drove home with the wind.

Hope all of you have a blessed day, prayers for our team.
