That's right. They knew how to tow 'em back in the day.Years ago you'd never see junk like that.
I have seen ladders carried that way by painters.My Grandfather would haul lumber with his '47 Packard underneath by tying it with rope to the bumpers. They had enough ground clearance and it worked well.
Looks like a Packard.
