Hollywood honors itself too at those big red carpet shows but that does not mean they make responsible movies. Consider the source of those awards.

So many movie stars speak out against guns and violence yet they make movie after movie about guns and violence. Those shows have more to do with spawning learned violence in our society than most every other aspect of kids growing up. Hypocrites.


Joaquin Phoenix walked out of an interview promoting his new movie Joker recently, when the journalist asked if he’s concerned the film may “inspire” violence.

The 44-year-old actor was being asked about his latest project by Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper, with journalist Robbie Collin questioning: “Aren’t you worried that this film might perversely end up inspiring exactly the kind of people it’s about, with potentially tragic results?”

According to Collin, Phoenix looked confused and answered “Why would you…? No… no”, before walking out of the room.

Driverless trucks may not happen. If they do it will be on specific routes and they will need to be driven out of town to a launch point. But it is looking like they will still require a driver to take over in certain places. They will make things safer for long haul because the driver will have less stress and they will take over or stop is the driver is not alert. But the testing is finding a lot of problems with the concept.

The whole thing will become so technlogically complex and convoluted that it will never work. It doesn't help that technology is advancing so quickly that one part of the program will be outdated before another is completed. And then to adopt some kind of standards that all manufacturers will use, how is that going to work? That's my take on it. The technology is available, but not that can be implemented in the real world.
