Chryslers grandson wants to save the brand

"By 2050 most of the baby boomers will have made the trip through the funeral homes and our history of what kind of cars we liked in 1965 Will be a small footnote at best."

Hard to find a good clear number, but it looks like 14.5% of them are already dead, which surprised me, I figured it was atleast 30+%; but the numbers I found, about 76m where born, and 11m have already died.

I'd prefer it if the wheels stayed on my vehicles... :cautious:
Back in the old days, Ford Granada could loose the wheel with the halfshaft when equipped with wheel spacers for a wider stance.

I dont think its the babyboomers that buy Chargers and the such.
Sweet spot for the neo-muscle cars of the last ten years, "Chargers and the such", was 45 - 65 years of age. That group is squarely in the middle of our "Gen.X".

Here in Europe the boomers buy crossovers because they want an elevated seat position. Ford quit most conventional models in Europe (Fiesta, Focus, Mondeo) in favour of small crossovers.
Same. Crossovers and small SUV's have been very popular with those born 1945 - 1950, over the last ten years. Of course, that group is basically at the end of their car-buying lifetime today, more likely to keep driving whatever they own than out shopping new cars.

Muscle cars (or in Europe: Hot hatches) are bought by people in their 50s, whos children are grown up and moved out so theres time and money for fun. Once used and affordable, young people buy them.
What's considered a "muscle car" in Europe? AMG's? I'd have said that's a fair name for the older generation of AMG vehicles, but now even they are using tiny turbo engines. I have seen a few Hellcats in Germany, blasting down the Autobahn at 300 km/h, but I thought they were exceptionally rare there. I can't think of many other true "muscle" cars I've ever seen in Europe, anywhere.

My observation on Chargers, white women age 30-45, or black men age 25-40. Challengers, white men, age 25-50. Ram 1500, broad spectrum, Durango, women, age 30-50, but also a pretty good section of semi domesticated men.

But, that I'm sure wildy varies in different parts of the country.

And, here is proof I'm wrong. Apparently Chargers are pretty popular with Hispanic men, and Asians, but actually, black men are under represented...

AMG definately. BMW M models. Audi RS. Volvo R. Any full size car that has so much horsepower that AWD actually makes it faster instead of slower.

Then hot hatches, Golf GTI. Focus RS. Civic type R. Peugeot has some GTI model too.

My brother in law worked at a Benz dealer when they had open house for their 50 years jubilee, people could test drive anything, just under supervision of an employee. Tickets were for the driver.

...several people lost their drivers license that day, once police knew something with a C 63 AMG was going on on the ring road 😂

With trucks, Scania R series V8 and Volvo FH16 are the muscle trucks at 780 and 770hp

This dude Bruce Wilson brought one to the USA to go to truck shows:

So, accidentally, maybe I found a Major problem that dodge needs to over come; female sales.

Yeah, it definately needs a womans quotum. All for gender equality
Not sure how to take that, but when you are 80/20, you are really under performing in a like 55% demographic, that does need to be addressed, from a company stand point. I could Not find similar numbers for Durangos, and I would "guess" the caravan is still majority female, but a company can't rely on just male market.

Edit; not Caravan, it's the Chrysler Town and Country, or whatever the Mopar mini van is...
