NOCO Genius question

[Too many Kubotas]

Last week i bought two NOCO Genius1 chargers/maintainers.
I put them on two different batteries, one is 800CCA marine and another is a small 230CCA ZT.

The question is, is it a normal behavior?

Did you by any chance get them from Amazon?

If so you could've ended up with one that I returned after it killed a previously perfectly good H7 AGM battery.

Like you, I started with it fully charged, but after a couple of days that battery was down to 7 or 8 volts, and could not be saved.

it didn't kill anything you had a bad battery and I proved it in the other post.

I bought 4 of them from amazon, and they work fine. go read the reviews. they are the number one charger on the market.

Mine start red, later go to a pulsating green, then a solid green. Ihave 2 of the 1 amp, they both do this. Checked battery voltage, 13.2 after solid green. One is set standard flooded, the other is on AGM for the tractor.

Also, my noco 10 has 3 orange/ red indicators which light up in sequence as its charging. Than goes into pulsating green. By the next day its solid green.

Have 2 Noco chargers 2 amp and 10 amp. After the red/orange are lit the green will pulse maybe 20 minutes then the red/orange tuns off and green will be solid. 24 hours later green will still be solid

You would need a dc amp meter like this to determine what's going on.

19.9 is a bad sign, typically indicates the battery is shot, do you have a load meter?

Typo, should read 13.9V The batteries one year old and tested good

Yes, from amazon but boxes where unopened and all wires looked like never being used

I was chatting with NACO customer service, and as i should've been expecting they were useless, but they say, the charges starts in High voltage up to 14.5 and when it charged to 75% it goes to 12.9 then as it gradually goes down and when it reaches 12.7v-12.5V it should go to the maintenance mode and start pulsing.
He told me to send the charges for testing on my dime. I said "Thanks, but no thanks"

I also have a Schumacher one, it does exactly like this is is expected, Charge (solid yellow)-> Maintenance(Pulsating green)

That's what they told me, too. And I also said "Thanks, but no thanks."

And all my other maintainers also have logical indicators.

if you have 3 meters, then just check the amperage, if its above 500ma its still charging.

Well, all i know is mine go solid green after fully charged. And testing the batteries show that the chargers arnt outputting when solid green.

When i look at noco site, i see 2 Completely different descriptions on charging led indicators. I see green flashing for fully charged, and i see this under support.
