The photos and video don't seem to show the new chargers at the front of the parking lot, but the article does quote Walmart on a measured deployment, which is pretty typical of Walmart in my experience.

In Texas the Walmart will have a Murphy USA convenience store on the corner of the property that sells fuel. Some are just small footprint building just big enough for the clerk to sit in and take money. Our local store was just remodeled to a larger walk-in store with food, drinks, and bathrooms. Murphy USA also has stores that are not next to a Walmart. Their fuel prices are usually the cheapest in the area. The Sam's Club stores also have fuel pumps operated by Sam's Club.

Vanity plates are ALL subject to an upcharge in Michigan, disabled plates are considered vanity plates. Our vehicles all display 'vanity plates' so I know but in our case the plates are the farm name with a numerical designation after each one, example ARD 1, 2, 3 and so on.

Our local Wallyworld has a 'Murphy' gas station out front though we have never fueled there. We fuel at the Kroger filling station up town because we get fuel points when purchasing groceries and most times it equates to around a buck per gallon off. Max discount at Kroger is $1.25 per gallon with a 30 gallon per purchase max. Weasel pee is weasel pee. Might as well get it cheaper if possible.

The car has a range of 300 plus miles. I charge at home and have no need to go further in this car (I have other gas and diesel cars if needed) ...THe EV works for all my local needs. It's cheaper to run than gas. Is that what you are asking?

Seem to be clustered mostly in the midwest and south. Only 4 in New England & N.Y. state combined. No wonder I've never seen one.

Whatever, they still pay a plate fee. Just renewed all of mine including my Class A CDL with all endorsements online a minute ago.

Total crapshoot here in as much as we never pay advertised pump price for gas. We usually pay over a dollar off the pump price with our Kroger Rewards Mastercard and the local Kroger station lists their gas prices usually on par with the other local filling stations. Best card we ever got is the Kroger US Bank world Mastercard. Besides fuel points we get grocery vouchers regularly. Last set of vouchers we got totaled over 250 bucks on Kroger groceries. And... US Bank's call center reps are ALL US based so no raggers with broken English to deal with.

In fact, though I have a super credit card score, I only carry one card except for my Harbor Freight credit card and both have super high spending limits on them which is nice and not obtainable if you manage your finances poorly.

Not at all fond of the call center on the HF card however. It's a Sychrony card and the call center I believe is in India or Pakistan or somewhere where English is not the primary language. Hard to understand them so I do everything online.

Used to have a Cabelas Black Visa but when Dick Cabela sold out and Bass Pro took over, they went with Capital One. same offshore call center deal and with the Cabelas card, the rewards suck anyway so I cancelled the card. Kroger Mastercard has by far, the best rewards of any credit card I've ever investigated.

Actually, the ONLY reason I have the HF card is their deferred payment plan on big purchases with no accrued interest either. Just pay the installment amount or pay off early and no interest and their over time payments are very lenient.Most times if what I buy isn't a large amount, I just put it on my Kroger World Mastercard as it counts towards bonus points both on fuel as well as groceries. Great card, nice folks to deal with and they watch purchases as well. Had a denial once at a store I don't usually deal with and they flagged it right away and I had to call them and tell them it was kosher.

You must buy a LOT of groceries!! We don't have Kroger around here, but various other supermarket chains have had loyalty cards that paid off with fuel discounts. IIRC you got 10¢/gal off for every $100 (may have been more) you spent at the store. Only good for one fill-up, and at least with this case only good at Sunoco stations (of which there are very few, and those tend to have higher prices than 'most everyone else). Every little bit helps, but frankly not really worth the bother.

Actually we do buy a lot of groceries and we eat well to boot. We are both steak lovers and even have an ongoing subscription to Omaha Steaks which are crazy priced but crazy tender and good. We can well afford it.

Sometimes my wife goes to the grocery and buys in person, sometimes she does 'click and ship' too Kroger offers home delivery here and uses refrigerated straight trunks. She does like to buy or have delivery on the days when they offer double or triple fuel points.

Ant the per gallon discount lasts over a 30 day cycle and you can define how much you want to save each time. Works real well for is and candidly, we have found Kroger meats especially to be almost on par with Omaha Steaks. We do Strawberry Hill Povitica as well. We both love Polish nut bread delivered to your door. It ain't cheap but it's good too. Finally, we buy New York style cheesecakes from David's. Guaranteed Kosher (get the implication) super expensive but worth every bite. I buy my good customers both Omaha Steaks gift packages as well as David's cheesecakes.

I've often wondered that myself. Do states still issue handicap plates, or is it strictly the mirror cards? Don't think I've seen a plate in many years.

Indiana issues hang tags, BUT, along with the tag is an accompanying paper with the tag # on it. Tag is not valid without the paper from BMV in the same vehicle.
We now have a hang-tag in our MH since DW's stroke, and handicap plates on pickup and car. hang tags in cars N pickups obstruct field of vision for me, and i do all the driving now.

My wife has a handicap placard because she has a triple heart bypass and still needs more work. We are not on a limited income.

This seems typical of most reward programs. I once went into Shaws, (regional grocery store) and ran around the store checking prices with and without rewards; then went to Hannaford's (another regional chain) and bought the same items for Shaw's "reward" prices.
I did sign up for them at my local hardware store just because it gave me access to sale prices. Then they changed so that you have to order online to take advantage of reward sales. If I'm going to order online I'm not driving 40 miles to pick up the order; it's going to be delivered to my house.
