"Constant maintenance items"??? When was the last time you bought a vehicle? It's not 1967 anymore, modern vehicles don't require a lot of maintenance.

Dumb dumb. Oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs.
If older or crappy Korean or Stellantis, then just about everything else.

and have to replace my spark plugs

Dumb dumb. In two years I haven’t had to worry about anything in my Tesla except keeping tire pressure at correct amount ever so often.

Just got a notice from my insurance carrier that if any of my rentals have an attached garage and if there is a loss from fire, they won't cover the loss if there is an EV or any battery powered vehicle or conveyance parked in the garage and / or charged in the garage...

Even if the EV wasn’t the cause of the fire?
Welding, grinding, smoking, heaters, oily rags, gasoline containers,, etc.. and everything else is ok, but not an EV?

You should post a copy of your notice, so we can publicly shame your insurance carrier

I need to plan on that sometime in the next year or two, my truck just turned 126k

reminds me though, our Mazda 3 is about 150k and I think they said 75k for the plugs in it.
I just can't keep up, it's like 75k was yesterday (20...12 probably?) and now AGAIN just constant maintenance

I changed my oil last December and will have to do it again before the end of summer. Just today I checked the air in my tires. They were fine, but I try to check them every month or so.

I didn't read every previous post, so maybe this was posted, but today a local NPR radio station had a report that Bezos is in negotiations to purchase an old R.R. Donelley facility in Warsaw, IN to build the Slate EVs. It's expected to create 2,000 jobs once in operation.

Didn't read past about post 40; but does the SUV config remind anyone of a Lada Niva, circa 2020? Honestly, given the choice, I wouldn't be against a new production Lada Niva, at like $18.5k.

Not something I'd consider doing and the notice just pertained to parking an EV and charging them in an attached garage, not a garage that is separate from the dwelling. In my case all my rentals have attached garages. I have a substantial investment in rental properties btw.
