Purchased the kits last fall, but with winter, never got to the task of installation.
First set is a straight directional control valve, the second set is a DCV with float.
I think that combination will take care of any application I desire. A top link and height adjustment for the York rake.

Jacked up the right side, removed the loaded turf tire /wheel. That thing is HEAVY!
Removed the right side fender. There is no way to get the mounting bolts and stud in with the fender in place.
The orientation of the couplings is fussy, and the hydraulic lift position link is a royal PIA! I ended up filing off the retention nubs and cross drilling for a cotter pin.

The hole process took all afternoon. Call it 5 hours.

Glad it went well. You will be forever happy you did that.
We fooled around with my friends JD3038 until we took the tire off, then we got to work. :D

Believe it or not I installed my control valves without removing the tire or fender on my B2601 about ten years ago. I think I posted on it back then.

Perhaps you did.
but

Access to the mounting stud and fixing bolts would have required drilling holes in the fender at minimum. Perhaps the kit was configured differently ten years ago. Or might have you installed just a single valve?

I'll see if I can dig up your post on the topic.

Thanks!

your posting was easy to discover.

Yes, With the FENDER removed, I'm sure the installation could be accomplished.

For myself, removing the wheel was not a trouble that was not worth the effort.

Looks like I was wrong and a lousy memory to boot.

On review, I had gained useful inspiration from your post prior to my own efforts to do the same.

Thank you!

I'm terrible with pictures while I'm working.
