Quick Hitches Recommend me a quick hitch please

If it matters, Speeco makes a QH that is for Cat 1 implements, no bushings required. Since a set of bushings is around $40 per implement, could potentially save you a bunch of dollars if you have a lot of implements.

My tractrs both have telescoping lower links as well and you cannot EASILY remove them. The boss that carries the telescoping end is securely welded to the end of the arm. Why I never pursued Euro Hooks or Pats is because the extendable lower ball mounts work just as well for me. If the weren't, I would have but because they are, I never considered it.

I can't say I have ever removed mine, I picked up Pat's before I gave the Euro hooks a thought; now you've got me wondering how much of a PITA it is. I'll have to give it a shot next time I'm out in the garage with nothing pressing to do. I've figured one day I'll switch to Euro's myself.

In a perfect world, you would be able to slide out the standard links and slide in a set with euro hooks on them. But, that would make things too easy.

Even at 75 years old, I have no issue hooking up my 8 foot wide LP slasher or the 12 foot wide bat wing mower. The LP states 'quick hitch compatible' I just pull out the telescoping ends (which I keep lubricated btw) and hook them up. Never been an issue and my philosophy is, the farther away a driven implement is from the PTO stup, the longer the PTO shaft has to be and I like keeping them as short as possible so they don't 'whip' around too much. My preference only.

To add the Euro hooks to extendable ends, you simply pull the pin that keeps the end from falling out, rework the existing end and slide it back in.
The removal and reinstallation literally takes 1-2 minutes.
I can't say as to what you guys think that the issue is?
And YES, the Euro hook ends add 2 1/8" to the overall length when properly added on.

This can be done, most people don't want to spend the additional money vs reworking the existing ends.

I got a Pats Quick Hitch and PTO Link setup and it works really well. A lot easier and way faster.

As a personal rule, I don't 'recommend' anything to anyone as every situation is different. I simply tell a poster where the items are availabe and if on sale. In my situation the Pat's products are don't work for me at all.

I vote for the Euro hooks/Lower link hooks. You won't regret it. Easy to use, lasts a life time, trouble free and for how well it works, not that expensive (About $300 for the Cat 2 kit on AgristoreUSA).

It does require cutting the old links out and weld the new ones in but it's worth it. This applies to the tractors that don't come with it as standard.

Nothing against these. But for that money, you should be able to get a set of Pat’s. They mount over/around the existing pin balls, no cutting/welding required.
Biggest downsize to any QH is it adds distance between the tractor and implement, this is most often an issue with the PTO shaft not being long enough to have good overlap with the increased distance (4-8”). It can be an issue with top link also, but less common as it attaches to the QH except if using something like Pat’s that only attach to the lift arms.

Hi everyone. It's tough taking on and off the 6ft 1200 lb cutter. I don't have enough room in the barn to store both together inside, and I'm not gonna let my tractor sit out.

I would like to stay around $500 dollar mark if possible. I know that may not be possible. That mower is HEAVY. CAT 2 correct? Is a cheaper QH gonna be up to supporting a 1200 lb mower?

I also thought about getting a 7 or 8 ft flail mower, because that would fit in the shed attached. Then sell the woods. But flail mowers are not cheap, and I already have the woods. The woods does a great job cutting 5 ft tall grass, never tried a flail mower. So if I could get away with just getting a quick hitch, I'll go that route.




I put a harbor freight QH cat 1 on my Kubota B2920 to use on my 4ft cutter. I'm very happy with it, especially for the cost.

I purchased online at Tractor Supply an AGKNX Cat 2 heavy duty quick hitch ($490) to put on my Deutz 5080D since it doesn't have the extendable lift arms and love it. It's a bit pricey but built extremely solid.

Going between my Woods Brush Bull 720, a heavy 9 ft back blade and assorted hay attachments it can't be beat. I did add a hydraulic top link which definitely helps with hookups.

I got a Pat's Quick Hitch for my tractor.

RIGHT - that's what I did, too. It was ON SALE @ RURAL KING for one fifty or so. Works just fine
I've a Kubota B7800 and my stuff is five foot wide or (mostly) 4' ft. I benefited greatly with the 'bush hog' cutter - but it does GOUGE the ground more than I'd like.

I suspect that I just don't have enough experience to guide me in adjusting things back there. So far, guessing has allowed me to use the tractor. I do wonder if I could do better or even more if I'd read a book or had a mentor.
