My tractor won’t start and I may need to get it to the dealer next week.

Fortunately it’s in a gravel parking area behind my barn. I could probably get a trailer backed up pretty close to it, and will probably need to winch it onto a trailer.

My main concern is that the front bucket is on the ground. I’ve never dealt with that situation in loading vehicles.

Any good ideas on how to deal with that?
Thanks

How much will the dealer charge to send a rollback?

Is the engine turning over? Just not catching. Or is nothing happening when key is turned over

You know it's gonna be a hassle, plus you'll have to get it off the trailer. A roll back even with the added expense would be the way to go.
As far as the loader, I've never delt with that, but I suspect you could put it in float, jack it up, take it out of float. It should stay up for a little while. Or you could fabricate some hydraulic cylinder locks and block the cylinders.

Not sure…It was about $100 a few years ago, but that was a guy coming out with a tilt bed trailer.

Depending on how much hassle it might be to deal with the front bucket issue, I may look at getting a tow truck company with a true rollback.

Not turning over at all. I think it’s something with some of the safety startup sensors. The dashboard lights up and shows an error code nothing happens when I turn to “start” position.

Work the winch cable under the bucket, then attach to the tractor, tie the loader lever back as if to raise the loader, as the cable tightens to pull the tractor, it will also raise the bucket enough to load.

I would just run the winch cable under the bucket and then attach to the tractor frame as high as possible. As you start to pull the cable will want to go straight which will put up pressure on the loader bucket, open the loader valve, when it gets as high as possible release the valve and let your loader stay there.

You may have to hold your brakes on the tractor to get enough lift on the cable.

Make sure to lock your brakes together before doing anything, wheel brakes are not good on top of a trailer.

Don't try this at home.
