I don't pay much attention to Walmart online. But a while ago I noticed E-Bay sellers that apparently parked ads by posting preposterous selling prices. Either they had almost no stock, or had zero stock, and if they ever sold something for 100x retail, they'd quickly run out and buy one somewhere to ship.

It was probably easier for them to park the ads with high prices than delete and recreate.

Nonetheless, I bought a baler that was older than myself, with stuff worn far beyond "spec". I've considered running out and buying new knotters. But, whew, I could easily spend more than the entire purchase price of the baler. o_O

Low cost method. Save all that money by having a dozen children for "free".

I think his point is, maintaining farm machinery is expensive; if you pay someone to make repairs the price triples.
If you own farm machinery or campers you must either learn how to DIY repairs or be quite rich.

Add to that the necessity to get back to baling quickly and it’s even more difficult. Time is money in farming
Fix it yourself? Might take 2-3 days, but be cheaper. Call to have it fixed and you might be back baling same day.

I know an AGCO dealer with a mobile mechanic service. If you have deep pockets his service is worth the money; the downside for him is, he only has one full-time mechanic that knows what to do and how for all AGCO products. Every time I visit his shop, his mechanic has a tractor(sometimes 2- split), waiting on parts.

The dealer I work with has 7 road techs all with their own trucks, and 12 more techs in the shop just for AGCO branded tractors (Fendt, massey, Challenger, Valtra, AGCO)
I’m lucky
