You know, based on the thread title, I was a little afraid this would be pin-up photos of contractors.
You are not the first one to say this, so I changed the title. You know, based on the thread title, I was a little afraid this would be pin-up photos of contractors.
Although I'm not familiar with that field, I have seen several fields that are all turf. Around here, many fields will use fake grass for the infields and real grass for the outfields. This allows them to save money on the turf installation, and there is less maintenance and rainouts on the fake grass.CTC - I'm sure you have but wanted to ask anyway. Have you seen Duke University's baseball field? 100% turf, even the "dirt."
It looked cool but seemed strange to me that they even used it in place of the dirt. Even the pitcher's mound.Although I'm not familiar with that field, I have seen several fields that are all turf. But, I did have an umpire tell me his shoes melted when he was calling a game on fake grass.
They are the standard turf tires from Kubota. I've seen the really wide turf tires on golf course tractors. These are not the really wide tires. Are those standard width landscape tires and rims on your L6060, or are they wider than standard?
The rears look like pretty wide rims.
I coached youth football both up north and down here. Some levels the coach was on the field. But, I did have an umpire tell me his shoes melted when he was calling a game on fake grass.
Take a gas unit and convert it to ptopane?Yes I am concerned. One of my bigger customers is converting 4 football fields to fake grass. I'm trying to figure out what sort of equipment I can buy to do maintenance on fake grass. Some of the fake grass companies are telling the schools that if any gas or diesel powered equipment goes on the field, the warranty is voided. Which is BS...
I asked one of my equipment vendors to build an electric powered machine so that I can service these new fake grass fields. I have not looked into any electric powered tractors yet. I don't think there is much available yet.
