I got the error shown in the picture while bushhogging. Called NH dealer, they said it was a contaminated fuel error message. I drained water from the fuel/water separator, went back to work. About 45 minutes later error message back on. I tried draining separator again. Fuel level was less than ¼ tank, so I thought if I added clean new fuel it from a different source it would dilute the water (suspected contaminate) and would help, but it didn't, error message popped up again after running a few minutes. Tractor was running fine, no missing or lack of power.
Dealer says start by replacing fuel/water separator. My manual shows two fuel filters side by side and the manual instructions uses the word fuel filters. I understand that water is denser than diesel and will settle to the bottom of the tank. Should I replace both filters and try siphoning the bottom 5 gals of fuel from the tank? Or should I just drain the tank completely and
refill with fresh diesel after replacing the filters?
