Real pretty. Seneca? Nice sounding "campsite."
Yes, Seneca rock. One of restaurants was Gateway, at entrance to spruce knob. Had blackberry cobbler there, but they are known for good homemade pie.
My friend who is having the party has been doing real camping out in the wilderness, where he canoes in to the area he camps at. This year he took some of his grand kids.

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of -1.1C [frosty] and it's presently 9.4C, partly cloudy & calm. There was 0.5mm in the gauge @ 0900.

I noticed, from my kitchen window, that Penelope the Pussybeast was out underneath a wattle tree, all 'puffed up'... then a wedgetail eagle lazily flew by very low. About a half hour later, the same 'wedgie', again flying very low, passed by the front of the house; this time with the cat seemingly chasing it. :D A wedgetail eagle is, indeed, large enough to easily snatch up a domestic cat and carry it away.

So, for the rest of today when Penelope "meows" I respond with, "Oh, you're still here?" ;)

That's about it, take care all.

Way back when I hauled out of the city, before I opted for Northwestern Ontario on a particular road I ran up regularly there were almost always turtles on the road. I got good enough that I could just clip the edge of their shell and air mail them back into the swamp they came from. If I screwed up then the turtle died, pancake flat.

Plants on shelves out back watered.

Planted 1 Big Max, 1 Casper, and 3 Small Sugar pumpkins after doing some cleanup to the planting area. Still have another Casper to go but need to weed the spot where it is going.

Went over and got the WB to get them all watered in … they were all looking very thirsty by the time I got them in the ground but perked right back up in 5 - 10 minutes.

Then got them all caged.

Put up another 4 x 8 remesh panel for a total of 3 sections (total 24’) for pole beans and got 16’ planted with one Blue Lake bean every 3”.

Sprayed the ground along the last panel with glyphosate and will get that planted with the rest of the beans from the second packet tomorrow after I use the cultivator to loosen up the ground.

Started cleaning out the planting holes for the bush beans and decided to just go ahead and spray those as well.

More spraying done in various places in the garden and along the edge of the flower bed.

Woman spent the afternoon cleaning in the basement but made the run to the grocery for tomatoes and a couple other items.

Amazon delivered order a little before She headed out.

And then fixed BLT’s for dinner when She got back.

Refilled one glyphosate sprayer after dinner.

Just put the batteries in the thermometer and remote sensor.

It looks like it’s reading about right on the mark: outdoor sensor is reading 73.4 (it’s inside) and the indoor temperature on the thermometer itself is reading 73.7.

Temperature on the house t-stat is 73.

Another day with some progress made.

Coffee is cooling in cup. 69° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° with sunny skies. Got house filters changed and water heater flushed. Back to smell free water. Got JD mower out and cut grass around buildings. Today plan to cut grass in back field. Then enjoy some quiet time on back porch.

Good morning, the low is going down from the 67 it is now to 64°F. Wind WSW 6 mph. 30% chance of showers.

Lights are flickering. The APC is registering between 102V and 126 Volts. Time to make a phone call. A complaint has already been called in according to Hydro Ones automated belly ache recording. Time for them to go around cutting trees again.

Town/dump run today. My grass seed came yesterday, I'll get that down today.

Time to get after 'it'.

Have a safe day all

good morning all
Ron, a handsome bird couple!

RS, you regularly plant enough veggies to feed half a town.
Did you put away a lot last year when you were done?

I'm determined to put away some tomatoes this year, not sure
the best way to do it, likely freezing

Dennis, what a marvelous old cash register. I was studying it trying to figure out how it worked.
man that thing must be heavy.

a cool 63 out now, grey and drippy out, heating up into upper 80s today
I think they call this unsettled weather...could be a shower

going over to my brother's for dinner tonight. They are leaving with his daughter and family for
a rendezvous in Bermuda for 5 days. Two weeks ago he went with his son's family on a big charter sailboat
around the BVI's. He came back saying that boat gets awfully small with six people on it. He's been sailing every year, at least
once a year, in the BVIs for 40 years now. He usually goes once with family and once with his buddies. Unfortunately buddies are aging
out and not sure they can do it any more. They simply go from one island bar to the next. You can see the next island over, nice place to boat.
I've only done it once. Too expensive for me.

time to shower and shave and greet the day, hope you all have a nice weekend.

An AI voice assistant is on board as well, with animated pet companions including an otter and a capybara.

well regarded Chinese suv (President of Ford drives one...to test) offers a variety of tech aids

now I really want to know how many of you know what an otter talks like.
Wagtail, are talking capybaras a big deal down under?

Chinese must think they are cute

I already say yes dear to the lady in the dash. Not sure what I'd say to an otter.

would be fun to program someone's despised exwife's voice into the nav system... :giggle:
