Yup, I guess now I can buy OEM filters in the future
g2511 I ordered during moment when it looked like supply of $99 was about out arrived. Wish I'd gone through Hockfire to check it over.
First off see gap in air filter element and there's some resistance to the air filter element coming off even after rotating it. So stopped before I break something.
Plastic flash on handle needs smoothing down. The plastic air filter clasp worries me from a durability viewpoint. The saw seems impressively light. Surprised at English manual that actually has some detail in it.
Right off, looks like I need an air filter element, but having not removed the element, not sure if I need OEM element or what?

Got it off. Note the general plastic flashing visible on parts like the area where the air cleaner cover attaches at the top.
The air filter element seems to have about an 18mm inlet.

It isn't loose to my thinkingSo, does it fit the intake loose?
It isn't loose to my thinking
Going over the G2511 saw from Az this afternoon, the chain brake assembly was misassembled causing it to bind up, sharp plastic flashing in lots of places all over the saw, couldn't open air filter or spark plug covers without binding due to flashing that needed to be removed and the worse thing so far is the sparkplug is so tight I haven't been able to get it out.
Sorta on the fence whether to try to get the sparkplug out or to return it to Amazon.
