Hey chim, pass the popcorn!

I've been thinking about doing something similar. I often get stuck while plowing and the idea of using a hydraulic winch has possibilities. I plan to mount it on the FEL subframe and power it with the 3rd function valve.
I hope you used real copper cable and not the cheap CCA.I mount my winches on receiver plates, and have 2-inch receivers mounted on the FEL bucket, the fork lift carrier, and a couple of the 3-pt attachments. Ran 4-gauge cable with Anderson connectors to both ends of the tractor.
A few years ago I lucked into a Warn on a receiver hitch. It made me rethink mounting. I've had one winch or another since the mid-70's. All were permanently mounted (out in all the weather). First was an 8K Belleview (power in only), then a Warn 8274 that #3 Son now has on his Cherokee, and finally the Warn XD9000 with wired and wireless remotes. Exposed mounting can cause more than just cosmetic damage. I suppose many prefer prominently mounting a winch and traction boards, rotolok cans, HiLift jacks and other doodads as either a fashion statement or an attempt to portray themselves as real off-roaders when they cruise into the grocery store lotI mount my winches on receiver plates, and have 2-inch receivers mounted on the FEL bucket, the fork lift carrier, and a couple of the 3-pt attachments.
