Is a Tilt Trailer the right way for me to go?

Don't get Manuel trailer, believe me, you'll regret it. Also, if you were to change your mind after a year, you'll be stock with it.
Nobody would want a manuel dump trailer, I'm just saying 🤷

I have a manual tilt and I don’t regret it at all. The electric pumps take forever to tilt the trailer plus if the battery is dead you aren’t going anywhere.

I wouldn't trade my manual tilt for a golden egg, it works like a champ and when I need it to, and if put up for sale tomorrow it would sell before the end of the day.

I paid $5500 for mine probably 4 years ago. I’m sure I could sell it for more now so I’m not exactly stuck with it.

My tilt trailer is manual. It takes like 1 minute to raise the deck. Maybe 10-12 pumps of the jack. No way id pay for electric jack to save a minute. Now if were talking landing gear for a gooseneck…..go hydraulic or electric any day.

Really like my old Wilson 20 ft 10K load rated manual tilt trailer. Cars are the problem- can't open the doors (crawl out the window), but works fine for most things I use it for like hay, hauling the tractor, logs, etc.
Pulls very nicely and has a low center of gravity.
Unloading the tractor I just pull the pins raise the 3 point and back up the Rhino. "Autotilt"

you have all given me a whole lot of insight I didn’t have just a few days ago. Thank you all.

I'll second, third, and fourth that.

Didn't get smart enough until my current 35' gooseneck was ordered, partially because the cost for that option was quite low since the trailer would have the pump anyway, for the dovetail.

Now I'm thinking about converting the other goosenecks to powered jacks.

I’m going by memory here so it’s a little vague but I borrowed a tilt trailer once. It seems like you flipped a lever and the drove forward or backwards to make it tilt. Pretty slick.

I converted my wifes horse trailer. Manually setting landing gear sucked

Exactly how mine works, piece of cake, gravity will work when other things fail.
