Is a Tilt Trailer the right way for me to go?

I have had a 10k 20’ full tilt ( manual ) with gas struts , trailer for 10-12 years, I love it. I also bought a 22’ ramp trailer Thats heavier and never use it. If I did it again I would get a 14/16K 22' with 4/5, fixed up front with manual tilt

Another vote for a tilt trailer rather than a trailer using ramps. Thank you

I looked back at the sales receipt with all the upgrades this 22' Kaufman tilt deck was $8160.00 out the door from their South Carolina factory.

Now I'm thinking about converting the other goosenecks to powered jacks.
Look up "Trailer Gear Box" They make a very heavy duty device for raising and lowering landing gear with a 20V drill. Not cheap, but much less than adding hydraulic jacks. It is also portable so you only need one to power multiple trailers.

It will raise my GN with a 12,000 pound load on the trailer.

I'm wanting this trailer to do everything I need and never be deficient for my purposes.

I want that trailer too.

As is I have lots of them. Flat, tilt, dump, bumper, gooseneck... The more a trailer does the more that can go wrong with it. Add features is adding things that can fail. It's worth it until something that isn't really needed fails and you have to fix something you are not utilizing.

Mr. Lineman, kindly interested in what upgrades you added...Thanks!
2-8k axles with 17.5 super single tires instead of 2-7k axles with 16" tires , and also a spare 17.5 tire on a steel wheel.

What year was that ?
August of 2023. I just looked at their website and it looks like the same trailer optioned like mine is about $8800 today, so a slight price increase but still a really good deal IMO.

This one is very easy to load and secure loads.

And it's built like an anvil, if they had hundreds of moving parts and relied on batteries. It is easy to use though.
