Are any other power companies increasing prices by almost 50% like Ameren IL?

Beginning June 1, 2025, and ending September 30, 2025, Ameren Illinois' supply price (also known as the Price

to Compare) will increase by roughly 50 percent, going from around 8 cents per kWh to around 12 cents per kWh. This will result in an approximately 18% to 22% total bill increase for the typical residential customer for the summer period, depending on their usage. This supply price increase will only be in effect for four months (June-September). Beginning on October 1, 2025, the supply rate is expected to return closer to current levels (around 8-9 cents) for the remaining eight months.

I heard somewhere that a bunch of private equity groups were buying electric utility companies. Maybe this is them "getting their foot in the door".

PGE in much of California is 35-50 cents off peak. Mostly because their major supply lines have been responsible for disastrous fires.

At home we get power from SMUD, municipal non profit, off peak rate 16 cents.
35 cents noon to 8pm summer.

My cooperative charges a flat meter service rate of $22/month, and the rate for general residential is 13.2 cents per kWh. Commercial rate is 15 cents per kWh.

Were at .25/KWH here in NH, of which .16 is delivery and .09 the electricity. We use 14KWH a day in the summer months and 20KWH a day in the winter. Last month bill for 388 KWH was $97.
