Sure depends on the tractor, doesn't it? If your tractor has a clutch and geared xmission or is a powershift it doesn't work so good.
I am not sure I understand. If you are going to fast in one gear (at the correct RPM) then you shift gears, not decease engine RPM (drastically). I am not saying that everyone does it this way, I am just saying that is the way the tractors are designed to run.

I have a clutch and powershift. I have no issues doing loader work at 1500rpms. I used to get regens every so often until I read the manual and followed it.

Use the gears. This is why I have hi, medium, and low range with 4 selections in each.
