I’m getting ready to change my hydraulic fluid in my Mahindra 3510 hydrostatic model. I believe it’s a 2003.

I picked it up, used a couple months back and have not gotten around to doing a hydraulic change.

The manuals I acquired from here do not show anything clearly for a hydrostatic model. I’m just looking to see where the dipstick is to check the level. I would assume it has to have a dipstick. It has a fill port as pictured. But where would the check dipstick be?

Roughly, how high in the casing should the fluid go up to?It is currently roughly 6 1/2 inches low from that fill port with fluid. Which I would assume is low in fluid which could explain the really sensitive movement and lack of lifting power

google says it’s on the right side.. the manual says it’s on the left.. a Mahindra dealer sent me a diagram showing the left side… but the diagram doesn’t look like mine

Parts catalog shows a sight glass for the transmission oil level.

Looking at your pictures, I would say it's right there where I marked but you do have to clean that area to see it.

I appreciate your help. I was under the impression that only the 2810s had the viewport.

My service manual and online I’ll say that it should have a dipstick.

I will have to clean that spot up a bit tomorrow to see what it reveals!

My manual also says it needs 9 gallons of hydraulic fluid. I’m pretty sure 9 gallons is gonna go well over that view window.

You can't drain everything inside the transmission, so yes, the 9 gallons will most likely be too much. Definitely keep an eye on the level as you keep filling it.

Opss. Fat fingers over here can't type properly. I really meant: "You can't drain everything..."
😂 I have that same problem. I understood it.

Cleaned it up. Sure enough that’s a window. I appreciate the help again.
