Of course we all can and did go without heated steering wheels, for many years. But last winter we had two long stretches of mornings at -5F to -10F, and I was thanking myself for having those two options along with remote start, every single one of those cold mornings. :p

Again, we all can, and we all have. But Philly without AC is just a level of misery into which I see no benefit of placing myself, today.

Problaby would never expect to see you snowmobiling when it's -20 out. Lol

That’d be a tough sell. I used to snow ski a lot, and have seen -20F many times, even -40F once or twice. No problem when you’re exercising hard. And I don’t mind the cold when wind isn’t too terrible, I’ll be outside processing firewood at -5F on calm mornings.

But that’s different from hopping into my truck to head to work or drive the kids to school every F’ing morning. Sometimes, you have to appreciate the comforts in life!

Coming indoors to A wood stove or fireplace with a nice wood fire burning when it's -20 outside. I really always enjoyed that for some odd reason I guess.

Heated steering wheels? I'd rather wear my gloves which are usually on anyway in the winter. Then problems working my wife's cars touch screen infotainment center usually arises though. Before long I'm listening to the chipmunks sing Xmas songs on kids bop until I reach my destination.

I had to check.....

Inflation Calculator | Find US Dollar's Value From 1913-2025

in '25 $, 1930's $380 is $7,371.91

I would be a buyer in quantity at $7371.

Sporty convertible with leather trim and stainless steel trim, etc…

Whitewall tires option for additional cost!

Real curious on what you think of the dumperdog box on your new truck. I actually looked at a old ,1 ton or 3/4 15 yrs ago with one, then all of a sudden a 1 ton baby dump came on the market in my price range $600 bucks however I put a out 400 mostly from u pick junk yards in it to get it reliably roadworthy.
jjeff, I've got a '96 ram 1 ton with a dumper bed box and it works fine for my uses. Dump runs, haul 2 yards of gravel for my driveway as needed, [2 yds is about all it wants to lift at a time], haul a pallet of red bark chips from Lowes or Home Depot when needed, etc., etc. That's about all I use it for but just having the ability to do what I need when I want to do it is priceless to me. Tire shops on a 15 year old Toyota want between $400 and $500 to replace 4 OEM

I got a spare set of wheels/tires for my 4Runner and was quoted about the same. So I bought OEM Toyota sensors on-line from a Toyota dealer (around $62 each I think) and installed them myself. Not hard to do at all, and the 4Runner owner's manual outlines the procedure to program the new sensors to the vehicle. No special tool needed. Best part is that the procedure allowed me to set the pressure the TPMS would alarm at, important to me because I drive mainly dirt roads and run aired down a lot.

Nothing wrong with innovation. I like all the fancy bells and whistles on our new vehicles. Why not enhance quality of life. Kind of like still living in the open without fire, when living in caves and fire came along. Where would we be now if someone had not tried it and liked it.
True, and this is where things turn into YMMV. What's a cool innovation to one man is another man's useless junk and vice versa. So much of today's technology falls in that zone.

Which is why I qualified my statement with where I live. I'm sure I'd appreciate it a lot more if I lived in an area where heat and humidity were more of a thing.

How do like your new man bun? :ROFLMAO: 🙃
How do you like your vinyl seats? Do they stick to the back of your legs when you wear your short shorts?
