See you are from Russia so a special welcome to you. I got to know a Russian on a shooting forum and we have communicated a bit since the war with Ukraine and the sanctions. He lives not far from Moscow.

It was interesting to get the perspective of a normal man about the situation.

One thing that politicians and media ignore is that people are people and we have much in common.

Again, welcome.
Thank you ! I am a direct participant in these events. But we are here to discuss tractors and their equipment. Peace to all )

During the winter snow removal, the front loader was overbalanced and the rear wheels were slipping. I welded a basket for the rear hitch and placed 20-millimeter plates cut from Larsen tongue into it. The work became more enjoyable.
Nice Build!

I find the trick to adding rear ballast is to use something that does more than just add weight. Usually, it's an implement. In winter, I leave the spreader attached. It weighs 2800# loaded with anti skid. It articulates, so I can always dump some if I need less weight.

In summer, I leave a 3pt mower or the backhoe attached.

I'm not actually sure how they do it now. 40 years ago when they first started, it was all done with a vibratory attachment suspended by a crane, and powered by a standalone engine/hydraulic pump. Some of these sheets are 40' long/tall. It would take a very large excavator to handle those.
They used a diesel hammer to drive sheet piling. The diesel hammer operated by a heavy weight that would be released from the top and as it drove downward it built compression and fired. It would drive itself back up and then fall back down, fire and begin all over. It would hammer until a compression lever/rope was activated to relieve compression, as well as a fuel shut-off valve.
On bigger jobs we used a vibratory table. Diesel powered engine built on a table that attached to a crane. It had a hydraulic vibrator attached that had roller bearings, BIG, that would be attached to the material being driven. It was something to see and feel as the ground would shake around it! We used it to vibrate big casings into the ground for drill shafts. It was something to see.

They don't make wheel weights anymore??

I’m still new to the sport of tractoring, however, from what I read there is a difference between weight in/on your rear wheels and counterbalance weight hanging out behind a tractor… each has their place but neither replaces the other…

Then again… I could be wrong…😳

Wheel weights were not quite enough...... Dead Deere is 520 LBS, counter weight about 600 pounds....

For the OP's situation ... Either rear ballast weight or rear wheel weights would work for his lack of traction problem he was trying to solve ...

If a QH is used, the rear ballast is easier to take off or put on quickly as needed ...

I leave my steel wheel weights on all the time, they do not help with relieving the front axle of overloading the front axle by heavy loader work ...

This chart taken from the following video at about 7:20 into it, explains why the previous post worked with rear ballast, but not wheel weights (presumably liquid?) ...
