    ID a Tiller

I bought a used 5' tiller from ACE Hardware Rental when they had an auction last year in my area, liquidating all their equipment. It's painted JD Green. I'm trying to ID this and it looks like in a style of KingKutter, maybe CountyLine. Is there any ID somewhere that would confirm? I'm not...

    20 inch chainsaw recommendation

I'll be the lone voice here and say - check out the latest battery powered chain saws. They have improved substantially in the last five years. Project farm has done a comparison just recently on his YT channel. The great thing about them is the starting which seems to be everybody's biggest...

    Post Hole Digger bottoming out

Some times moving the tractor forward and back while lifting the 3 point can get it to break free. Best thing to do is not get stuck to begin with by doing smaller bites, as others suggested.

Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I've paid more at Napa for one socket than the entire set from HF. Quality-wise I think they're both top notch. A while back I bought their really large socket set (I think there is six or eight and larger than 1") came in a case, and it sure comes in handy.

Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Kinda. the one that I keep at my house (5000 quiet) i run about once a month or so for 15 minutes to an hour. It runs well and it's push button start, making it much easier for me to be reliable on starting it. The one (2000 queit) that keep on my property in another state only runs when I get...

Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

The returns can be good, but sometimes the sale prices are better. I can't complain on either of my predator generators. The 2000 has been through hundreds of hours, storms, high humidity, etc. and still runs great.

Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I do really like that stand. I used it today. Here is the video I made - though the special price is obviously done since it was yesterday:

    JD 2040 Starting problem

I was just looking up this JD 2040 and noticed i only have one battery, yet all the online diagrams show there should be two. The battery is under the hood by the front dash. I don't think there is even room to put a second battery. Am I missing anything? thanks!

    JD 2040 Starting problem

This one has just one battery - that I know of. I only see one under the hood

    JD 2040 Starting problem

It bolts to the sheet metal that holds the dash in place behind the battery. Maybe bolt to the block or frame?

    JD 2040 Starting problem

I recently bought a JD 2040 (1981, I think). It started and ran this summer, but now it won't. It seems the starter is not doing its job. The red light will come on and just dims when engaging the switch. You can hear a bit of a noise or a click when trying, but that's about it. I thought it was...

Great Deal on Snap Ring Plier set

FYI If you intend on doing your own maintenance including changing your seals, tomorrow is a great deal at Harbor Freight on their ICON Snap Ring Pliers set. I have them and they did great on changing on my front seals. I think the date is wrong on there because this came this morning for tomorrow.
