That endorsement would apply to Commercial Class C only. I’ve had those endorsements when I had a commercial License Class B for busses. They have Commercial Class C with Passenger endorsements for vans. Fairly sure on this but I could be wrong.
Like I said everybody has a preference. The main question was HST vs Gear drive. The Kubota dealer did tell me that the gear drive has slightly more power. Seen it on videos also to back that statement also. And the Shuttle Shift is fast. For my use I prefer a gear drive doing mostly ground...
Shifting gears is fun and a DT has comparable top speed to an HST. What is so difficult about changing gears? I did a shitload of loader work a couple of weeks ago. I know an HST wouldn’t have saved any time. It’s just most people are too lazy to shift.
Both transmissions are good and people have their preference but I think most of these readers do not know how to drive a standard shift. When I bought my Kubota the sales woman did tell me that the DT does have more power. And seems a lot of readers think you have to slip the clutch to take...
The Kubota will not start in gear. All systems have to be in neutral. That includes the PTO in the off position. If you want to pay $2,000 extra, lose a little power and listen to the HST whine it’s your choice. And if you can’t drive drive a standard transmission go for the HST.
Of course you set the brake on a hill. You starting the engine normally. Not putting any strain on the starter. Your not slipping the clutch when your taking off. The 54 hp tractor needs no throttle to take off. You do the same on a 10 speed two speed axle bus. Let the clutch out and you go. As...
If I remember right he put the gear drive also in high range. It still had 50% more pulling power. But people are going to get what they want. I’ve driven my brothers HST and I don’t see why people find it so much easier. I hate that treadle peddle. By the time you reposition your foot you could...
