What is the oddest machine you have worked on or operated

I'll bet I have one that nobody else does. My first job out of college was in a foundry in the QC dept. testing iron samples, from there they put me in charge of the furnace dept. 22yrs old, one year out of college with 3 old timers working for me, and I'm responsible for two arc melt furnaces...

CK20H Won't Shut Off with Key

Same problem with my 2003 CK20H. Fuel stop solenoid stopped working year ago, been working on it since. replaced ignition switch, and solenoid, went thru all the same diagnostics myself and with a buddy. no luck. Took to dealer they had no luck, but are a little richer, ended up putting a...

1.5 acres. Am I nuts for thinking about a tractor?

Been there done that all the research back in 2004. I own two properties in the city 2 doors apart, with 1.7 and 1.6 acres. most of the work has been for hire as part time work. I own and use two Kioti's. My first tractor is a Kioti CK20, with backhoe and loader. This tractor has been used hard...

    Any bourbon aficionados here?

my everday is EVAN WILLIAMS either Black label or 100 proof White label. better than Jack Daniels. I like Woodford any of their blends is good. Makers Mark, and several Local (rochester NY) distillers, Black Button, Iron Smoke among the better ones. Straight, on the rocks, with a splash, all good.

New to owning a tractor and looking for a tiller!

Ok here's my story from personal experience. I have a Kioti CK20 (20hp/17hp on PTO) with hydro. I have 1700 hrs on the tractor and probably 200-300hrs on my tiller in all kinds of soils. I'm on my second set of tines on a 5ft KING KUTTER that i bought at TSC back when they carried KK. The...

Beware: kioti backhoe HORRIBLE departure angle ck2610 kb2475l

I should mention i have a CK20HST with the 6.5 hoe. from looking at your photos there is virtually no difference between yours and mine except in the length of frame, I believe that they stretched the frame for a couple reasons, to give more room on operators platform and 2 to be able to mount...

Beware: kioti backhoe HORRIBLE departure angle ck2610 kb2475l

Ok stop looking for negatives. Yes it does overhang a lot but you will quickly learn to work with what you have. Yes you have to put blocks under your ramps. I have to do all that stuff with my kioti 6.5' hoe, I been using mine hard for 18 years now. I made ramp extentions with 3x12x4' oak...

Can a diesel engine run on gas. .

A Farmall MD only starts on gasoline and warms up then switches to diesel. Just like all diesels if you run gas through the injectors and pump you'll be in for a VERY big repair bill.!!

    Cordless Tools vs. Other Options

I followed the whole thread, am amazed that no one mentioned RYOBI TOOLS. I had over a dozen Dewalt tools and batteries. Burned out tools and had dead batteries all the time. RYOBI had some good deals at HD since I was sick of paying thru the nose for Dewalt thought I'd give them a try. I...

Rim guard or not? Why a ballast box instead of boxblade?

I have two Kioti's with the same size tires, one with RIMGARD other with windshield washer fluid. Never felt any kind of movement or sloshing, or anything like that. However in weather below about 20*F, the RIMGARD gets slushy and until you drive awhile it will cause a bumpy ride because its...

Rim guard or not? Why a ballast box instead of boxblade?

I recently found a place to buy tractor stuff and much more, called VEVOR. First bought clamp on bucket forks for about $180. they worked really well, wish I'd bought a set years ago. Then before Christmas they had a weight box on sale for $162+frt.tax. My wife got it for me for my big...

Hydraulic toplink for rear facing snow blower

the main reason for adjusting the top link with a snow blower is if you have a gravel drive. at the start of the season tilt blower back so it skims over gravel and packs snow hard, then once you have a good base and won't dig gravel up tilt forward so cutting edge into snow. works great with a...
