Kioti DK4210SE HC Cab
Since I bought my DK 4210SE the windows have fogged up when I switch from AC to heat - almost every time, I just got used to driving with the doors open for 10 minutes till the moisture cleared up. I've had it back to the dealer 3 or 4 times for this, the solution from Kioti head office was to put a sock of Kitty Litter in the roof (I decided against this), last year was the worse I actually had water come out the overhead on the switches (and me) I've blown clear the AC drains with compressed air a few times to prove they are clear but yesterday I took the roof and the heater core/Evap housing apart for a visual, as I was doing this I noticed the drain hoses on both sides were about 12" too long so they were wrapped around, bent and kinked up on each side of the drains. They only opened up when I blew air up the hose and forced them open (then they kinked again so I poured 2 L of water into the drain pan to prove it was clear and it went nowhere. I pulled the hoses down so they were now straight and they drained freely for the first time maybe. The drain pan was full of standing water, when I blew air up the drains I could hear the "bubble" of air passing through water, I after the kinks were taken out about 2l of water emptied on the garage floor. Tried to get the cab to fog up after that and couldn't repeat this. Maybe this was all it was (a pool of water in the drain chamber) time will tell, but why would Kioti install so much hose that it kinks in the roof drain area?

Good to know. I had the windows fog up once. If it happens again I will lift the roof and check the hoses.

I have 2510 cab only have heater no AC. I have my windows fog all the time blowing snow in winter time. Turn heat up to clear windows and it gets so hot in cab you cant stand it, even in t shirt! Finally figured out soon as engine is hot turn heat to lowest settings and open front and rear windows just a 1/2",direct vents on glass, problem solved and temp is comfortable. still have to take off jacket!

Ya yours is a science problem lol, too much glass (too much surface area for a tractor heater to warm all the glass), without AC you can't remove the moisture from your cab so the air gets hot but the cab is filled with moist air (like a car in winter running the air on recirc) like most of us with cabs your getting "cold spots on the glass" which cause the inside moist air to cool to it's "dew point" and condense. opening the window allows for dryer air in and moist air out, some install extra heaters /fans that warms the glass more reducing cold spots. Using the RainX helps a bit

Phantese, wow, the kinked condensate drain hoses are pretty shocking. 😲 Congratulations on solving the mystery! And thanks for reporting this. Keeping the a/c switched on while using the heater usually solves ordinary condensation problems, as you no doubt already knew. But it sure can't compensate for what you found.

If you happened to take photos of the kinked hoses with the cab roof off, be sure to send them to your dealer and ask that they alert Kioti corporate. I'm usually the first to cut techs and vendors slack when it comes to pesky problem solving, but it's pretty disappointing that they still missed this after several callbacks! And the "bag of cat litter" recommendation from Kioti is over the top! 🙃

Wipe inside windows down with gel shave cream. Plain ivory bar soap works too. If you don't shave or take a bath, I don't know...

What?!! A bath in the wintertime?

That calls to mind the bathing advice of one of the European kings long ago: "Once in the summer, and in the winter not quite so often."

That's stretching it out a bit...
