    Pat's Easy Change trouble

Thanks for the insight. I think this is my next step. Let it float and see if it’ll work. I hate the idea of not using it as designed, but maybe I’m being too literal with the instructions. I’ve been known to do that.

    Counter Weight

Since your counterweight needs are modest ("couple hundred pounds"), I'll make another case for a carry-all. Personally, I'm a big fan of dual purpose equipment and even a relatively simple carry-all (frame with platform and back) should give you that much weight. Then you have the utility of...

    Pat's Easy Change trouble

I had the jamb bolts all the way out and still couldn't get them to engage. granted, that was with the stabilizer bar in place. I'll fiddle with it, and maybe lose the stabilizer bar and see if I can make it work.

    Pat's Easy Change trouble

It could very well be that simple. I haven't used the 3 point much, and when I have I've had no trouble with attachment before the Pat's. I'll take a look the next time I'm at the tractor. I would need to be able to widen at the point where the arms attach to the tractor I would think.....in...

    Counter Weight

thanks oosik. yeah, it'll be contained....just haven't gotten to it yet. I have a hitch receiver to install and the rear bolts will be behind the covers......I had to get more hardware before I could button it all up.

    Pat's Easy Change trouble

Hi all...........I should have gotten pictures, but I pulled it off before I thought of it. I purchased a Pat's system through the forum this past winter and finally got a chance to install. The first thing I tried to use it with was my new carry-all. The trouble I had was that the arms were...

    Counter Weight

I needed a Carry-all, but wanted to have it on when lifting logs with the grapple so it needed to be heavy. I put an extra layer of 2x6s on the bottom to hold a bunch of lead I had. Still under construction but should do the job. It's a little over 500#s now and I still need to add sides...

    R14 Tire Durability

Mine are 6-ply.....but they seem to come anywhere from 4-12ply. According to Goodyear/Titan, they're a cross between an R1 and R4....although I do see they're touting the turf capabilities now too (those marketing guys :)) My tractor is in the woods 95% of the time doing mostly brush and log...

Hooking up my least favorite implement

wow......call me lazy, but I think if I needed one of those contraptions to cut brush and limbs I would just decide it didn't need to be cut. Now, if my wife decided it DID need to be cut, I'd probably be back here asking questions.:giggle:

    Stiff controls on a T474

Mine hasn’t changed much but I’m only at 25 hours. The Kioti I demo’d didn’t hang up at all in limited use, but my T474 doesn’t always either so that might be down to sample size. Maybe I’ll see a change at the 50 hour fluid change, but if I don’t......it won’t be a big deal.

    Everything Attachments

This is the position I was in....work to do and can't wait that long. I rationalized that something like a grapple should sell pretty easily if I felt I was missing out on anything with the cheaper one.....but would then have something to use while I waited. I don't know yet if I'll test that...

    Buying Help LS MT350HE

What jeff said. Maybe it’s better in Texas but inventory is slim to none in NY.....with all the expected effects on negotiations. That said, it seems that the factory incentives are still in effect and some the usual dealer “throw-ins” might be available: loaded tires, delivery, etc. YMMV though...

    MTL GRAPPLE

I'm just seeing this thread. I have the same grapple. I don't have a lot of time on it yet but it's been great so far....no complaints other than they didn't include the right fittings and I had to change them. To be fair, I didn't remember to specify which fittings I needed when I placed the...

    Stiff controls on a T474

that's interesting.....most of the comments I got (primarily on the FB owners group) was that it was hydrostat related. I did end up buying that machine and I have no regrets. It hasn't been nearly as much of an issue as I was worried about. I do hope it loosens up, but if it doesn't it'll be...
