BX24 blowing hydraulic filters

   / BX24 blowing hydraulic filters #121
I tried starting with the charge valve spring and ball out and same result. I blew air into the center of the filter port and no air goes in, so if it should go through, it isnt. so what might that be? thanks
Sounds like there is blockage in the passage between the filter and charge relief. Have you tried blowing air from the charge relief back to the filter? Without knowing how the flow passages work it is hard to say what suddenly blocked a passage.

Just to let anyone know in the future, it wasnt the pressure regulator, and it wasnt the charge valve next to the filter. It was the other charge valve that is in between the forward/ reverse adjustments. it is the one that takes the allen wrench , the one that is flush with the bottom of the hydraulic cooler. just above the filter. mine was full of junk. I flushed it out and put it all back together and it is working normal now.... good luck

The charge relief valve is located between the filter and the PTO shaft. Look up. There are three plugs facing down. The charge relief valve is the center plug with the hex head. The other two socket head plugs are for checking forward/reverse high pressure relief setting. The charge pressure test port is located at the base of the filter. It is the higher of the two plugs. Charge pressure should be 42.7-71.1 psi at 122 oil temp. This all comes from the BX22 WSM. I have no experience with checking or adjusting. The manual is pretty vague in my opinion. No setting or servicing info.
yes, it was this one for me. it was full of crud. I cleaned it, flushed everything and all is well now.

Thanks for responding back with the final solution to your problem. Too many posters leave it hanging in the air.
