There might or should be adjustment on when the throttle engages the choke. You want engine at full RPM before choke is engaged. Some models had a little lip or detent so took a little extra push to go from throttle to choke.

I would suspect run circuit for fuel shutoff solenoid. Hook up a voltmeter or test lite to wire(s) going to the solenoid to see if you have any power on a wire with key in run position..

On most tractors there is a drop rate adjustment knob that is usually located on the panel below the seat. Possibly try opening it a little to see if 3 point will lower.

Power beyond supplies oil to the 3 point hitch. Most back hoe valves do not have the power beyond feature so you want the return going directly to tank.

I would say about 1/4 way open or more. Better safe than sorry. Suspect that valve is there for transporting to keep oil from splashing out of the breather.

You want it open enough to allow air to flow easily in and out so that you don’t create a vacuum or pressurize the reservoir during operation.

I am not 100% certain what the drill paths under those plugs are connected to. Could just be a small amount of fluid from the pump or the drain the complete transaxle.

I believe what you are considering Allen head bolts is actually plugs that would have seals on them but would definitely want a parts breakdown to confirm.

To diagnose further you need to install a pressure gauge in the pressure line and watch this while the tractor is operating. There should be minimal pressure when no function is being operated and then pressure should rise when lifting the plow.

Is the valve accessible? If yes can you install a gauge in the pilot line on the valve section in question or swap pilot lines from a working section to this non-working section. It could a valve section binding or a faulty joystick.

Is there a breather tube that goes from the valve cover to intake? If yes then it might be possible to get oil into intake if it is lower than valve cover fill point.

Do you have some way of covering or protecting the check block mounting surface? If yes that could be an easier solution since less risk of connecting hoses wrong or a fitting leaking. There will be a seal between the valve body and cylinder. I would expect a simple o-ring but not 100% certain...

Are the electric motor direct drive or is there a V - belt drive? If V-belt What RPM do you want this blade run at?

Have you checked to confirm oil level? Does the power steering work properly? Is the shuddering worse when engine is running at high RPM vs at idle? Try lowering 3 point to see if shuddering changes? On some models if 3 point lever is in full raise position will cause loader to malfunction.

Heating is a symptom of flow being restricted like a directional valve not returning to center or 3 point attempting to raise all the time.

Maybe look at some parts diagrams or if possible a service manual to see how the forward reverse works. Then make a decision based on that information. If just a shift fork or linkage might be accessible with out splitting the tractor.

On my 2400H the handle must be all the way down to the floor or the brakes drag a little. I use the brake so infrequently it never bothered me enough to look at the adjustment.

What you are seeing sounds like charge pressure when hydrostatic drive is in neutral. Asking to move forward or reverse will increase pressure in one of the lines. Pressure will only rise to point of what it takes to turn the motor.

I believe the push - pull style cables are called Bowden cables. If you have length and end style possibly try doing a search for Bowden Cable. They are getting more and more common so should be able to find replacements.

Looks the one with ag tires also has rear wheel weights. Unless some real odd ball size they should be worth some money.

Leakage depends on the quality of the valve and are the cylinders not bypassing internally. You can ask dealer if there is a leak down spec for that tractor but don’t be surprised if there isn’t one specified.

What you are saying is 100% correct if the BX had a return filter. The only factory filter on a BX is in the charge circuit not the implement circuit.

There should not be any pressure or flow under those caps. Just be careful since there might be some spring loaded parts that will want to be escape artists. Depending on lever or joystick is oriented it might want to push the valve spool so be prepared to control that movement also.

Priority valve is a flow control with a totally separate valve for relief function. Priority valve would typically not have any pressure setting. Kubota clearly shows the relief in the schematic and then also as part of the priority valve assembly. This relief protects the pump in this system...

Doubtful there is an off the shelf front mounted pump option for that tractor. Problems are how to drive them, where do you get oil from, etc. There are rear mounted units that run off the PTO and include a separate reservoir but they are not a low cost item.

If this is for occasional use and 400 ft of driveway I would look real hard at simple 3 point mounted blower provided your tractor has 3 point and PTO. Simple, inexpensive and proven design that works along with can leave loader on tractor.
