Yes - I still remember our time in Glennallen. Scraping ice/frost off the car windshield while others were complaining of the fall heat.

We finally got a tiny, smidgen of rain. Not even enough to register on my weather station. But everything got wet.

Fall projects are being wrapped up and all is well on the Northern Front! Been a bit soggy, as it seems to rain every other day. Anchorage saw its 7th rainiest summer on record. Hope all is well in your world.

Heat index was 112 yesterday afternoon. About 1" of rain today, so it's much cooler now.

Still summer here. Heat index is 111*. Dew point is around 77-78*. Still miserable….

Summer came back to visit yesterday, and it's still here today!!!! 96F and way TOO HUMID!!!!!

At 2pm, I called it a day. Now I'm going to get in my cab tractor, turn up the AC, and mow some of my land.

It's 92 right now at about 5 PM. Was going to do some chores outside this evening...............but decided ..."the heck with it". At my age, everything seems optional anymore.

Holy Carp. Who left the door open to the freezer. It's been 36F to 40F at nights now. Days are getting up to 66F to 72F.

Ha, ha - no problem keeping it cool in the house now.

Brownie and I just got back from our morning constitutional. Brownie had a grand time. Romping thru the meadows and sniffing/remarking everything in sight.

I - on the other hand - had not checked my weather station before going out. I froze my sweet cheeks. It's not just one single thing that is making it so cold today. It's the wind @ 5 to 7 mph, the temp @ 31F and the humidity @ 73%. The cold felt like a icicle going thru this 'ol bod.

And, yes, my cup of coffee has the strong flavor of JD.
