Pulled out a totally ridiculous chunk of concrete from my back yard last night... was WAY too big for the little 530 but we got it done... 6-7000 lbs of concrete... ridiculous overkill ham radio tower base from the 70's

Had to do a little grinding to make the new wheel fit right but saved $100 on it and it works great!

I said 1 7/8" above... typo... it is 7/8"

Found a 2" smaller steering wheel with a center cap with what looks to be the correct shaft size and spline count for @$50 Crossed fingers and ordered it 🤞🏻

Looks like it is 36 spline 1 7/8 diameter I've found a couple cheaper options w a little smaller diameter and non center cap style ie exposed nut listed for combines... seems like they would work and since...

Keep in mind, you already HAD a 2wd tractor w loaded back tires and you say you didn't know there were situations where weight would be undesirable.... Kind of proof for you there... Load the tires, add the lead, mount the scraper, and find another 400 lbs to put on top of it....:cool:

Well at least another 3-4" a side... that said, it would also require removing the tires and tubes from the rims... lotta work and if you want it skinny again, start over....

I would suggest that you strongly consider adding the liquid ballast.... I can't think of any time I wouldn't want weight in the back of a 2wd tractor

My tractor had almost flat centers that were welded to the rims... flipping was only worth a couple inches.... would have been nice to have that two piece style

I wouldn't use cacl, but if your 8n has beet juice (rim gaurd) in it, transfer it from one tractor to the other n it'll be free....

Fwiw... on my 2210d... I used creeper in a totally unsafe manner... I would back up to my brush hog, set the parking brake, get off, and use creeper and power shift to line up... Worked great but not recommend of course At full throttle it would go 0.3 mph at idle probably 0.05 mph.... you...

C is creeper... lower than 1st.... shift into 1st and keep pushing forward to creeper

You can, all you have to do is split the tractor in half lol Actually w a bore scope and a length of brake line you could probably do it through the starter hole but don't want to get it on the clutch...

Yeah, drive it around and work it hard depressing the clutch pedal OFTEN and on and off the throttle OFTEN.... you have nothing to lose by trying.... No the disc isn't "swollen" but the hub is likely rusted on the input shaft....

FWIW... when I brought my 2210d home, my knowledge of the inner workings of diesel injection pumps was ALL learned in just a few minutes of googling before going to look at it... Spent a couple hours googling more, and just dove in... pulled it, cleaned everything and put it on... ahh not...

California, sounds great for holding ur gear but please find a better solution for your grab handle.... radiator hose clamps aren't trustworthy enough to bet your life on.... I've see em spontaneously fall off of radiator hoses Get some u bolts... they are available in all shapes and sizes at...

Meh... the feds don't give a rip what you do to your own rops for your own use... That said, there are other options too such as glue, magnets, velcro, or even the ever magic ZIPTIE

The short answer is just that I started into the 8n project to make a couple bucks.... Then fell into a deal on the yanmar and had planned to keep it but it just doesn't really fit my needs and I have too much stuff.

I think I'd gut the front end and make it 2wd... then start shopping for parts (or a parts tractor).... likely just buy a whole front end

I can't see the inj pump in ur pic.... If it's anything like my yammy (and I don't know if it is or not) there would be an access plate above and beside it that allows access to the linkage from the governor to the fuel rack.... If there is, pull it and set the thottle about 1/2, then see if...

Re pto shield, Agree, but for the time being, I have a plastic gaurd on my pto shaft and I leave the pto in N and the top link off when not in use...

Yeah before even in the extended position it wasn't extended enough... I'm curious what you used from HF to extend yours...

No it came WITH it and it's still there.... Problem w item 6 is that it's too far forward and the tires get into the trailer on turns

Forgot to mention... in the pics above the drawbar is in the extended position... can retract and use the other hole if wanted

Needed to hook up to a utility trailer for serious tractor work.... hay ride for the kids.... not a fan of 3 pt drawbars and the stock one is about useless in stock form.... soooo I started cutting and welding... VERY pleased w my results.... Obviously the added length would reduce vertical...

Actually high and low beam isn't high and low wattage.... It's all about focus and filiment location.... Sooo 25w 25w can still be very much high/ low

So is my 49 8n BUT same as a 2n and 9n, the timing is set on the bench w the distributor removed from the tractor so not so brutal

Turbos are pretty simple... you might be able to just take it apart and clean/ polish the journals and bushings

I hadn't considered the possibility of an internal orc... With engine OFF and pto engaged, w an orc you'll be able to turn the shaft by hand one direction (w clicking) and not the other direction.

That filter's NOT purdy... Re ORC... if you have one you can plainly see it on the pto shaft and if you turn it by hand you would hear the clicking...

Hmmm dunno... will check Is that supposed to go over the boot? Is it normal to have oil in the boot?

What do you guys think of this.... Hydraulic oil coming out past the pto shifter while driving... pto engagement status doesn't matter... Fill level is perfect according to the dipstick...

Got my new bulbs today... dropped right in, high and low beam work right and seem much brighter... Will update once I get to try em in the dark.

Ordered some led's... kinda corny looking but these are the only ones that have measurements that would fit the housings.... I THINK.... cross ur fingers for me

Well I finally remembered to check this today.... the knob is very hard to turn w a load (5' hog) lifted but I closed it all the way, opened 1/4 turn, lifted, then closed it as I killed the engine.... The hog stopped lowering as soon as it closed and stayed there till I opened the valve...

How much run time have you put on this thing? If it sat a long time, you might consider working it pretty hard for a few hours w good fuel and fresh oil... you may find that the compression numbers come up just from that....

Turning the old yoke off and welding on a new one should work just fine, but if it doesn't you could have the shaft turned down smooth and drilled for a shear bolt or cut for a woodruff key and purchase a suitable yoke....

Took the yan deere into the woods for a little more bush hogging... I really like this tractor.... If only it had a loader....

Well along w other parts, I have an ign switch coming... Next to try to tame the front wheel wobble.... tie rod ends, steering box adjustment, etc Has anyone had any luck sourcing tie rod ends at an auto parts store?

Just had a thought.... I wonder if the ign switch is sticking and the starter is engaging when I push the pedal enough to trip the safety switch... kinda hope so... would be an easy fix Now if I could just stop thinking about tractors and get to sleep... gotta get up in 3 hrs

Not sure how similar yours is to my 77 2210d but I just did some electrical work under my dash and I found that the wiring started getting real easy to work on as I started taking the switches loose from the dash so they could hang down... Maybe post a pic of what ur looking at

It's from hoye and likely the best available but just not a well written manual.... ie it says to remove the "hydraulic cylinder case" to service the cylinder oring but then doesn't give instructions on how to remove anything of that name... there are instructions for other component names which...

I actually have a hard copy service manual but it's not easy to read at all

Forgot to mention I took the quick connect fittings out of the hydraulic circuit... just hose from pipe to pipe... ALSO.... I noticed that the 3 point leaks down in a few seconds w a load on them and the engine stopped.... common issue?

Well I got the hydraulic pump back on and the rest of the tractor back together then had to tear it back down to fix a radiator leak... drain tube cracking out.... back together again and hooked up my 5' brush hog for a test.... surprised me! Handled the hog substantially better on the hillside...

I just bought a yandeere 2210d

I'm fixing up my new 2210d and part of that is new lights all around... I have noticed several lengthy threads on our headlight bulbs... seems the consensus is that we can't use a drop in led bulb but I can't seem to figure out why... Can someone tell me why something like this wouldn't work?

Once she was running it became apparent that the 3 point didn't work... removed line from pump and noted no flow.... removed pump and found a sheared key.... spun pump w my cordless drill and arms worked as expected so added a key and gasket to my hoye order (fuel cap w gauge)... All in all it...

I saw an add for this tractor just a few min after it was posted... Said he ran it out of fuel and then it started running erratically and ran away on him.... Messaged for his number and an hour later I was at his house.... I had done a little research and it sounded to me like a seized...
