I was looking at my scheduled maintenance for my Kubota L4701 and noticed there is a Hydraulic Oil Filter to be changed at 400 hours and a transmission oil filter to be changed at 50 and 200 hours. Why are there two filters for the same type of fluid? Are those fluids isolated from each other...

It is stored in a barn. It was definitely sticking in the cold weather, though I'm not sure how it would be sticking up when I'm in the seat. Not sure.

Went out to troubleshoot the problem today. It was warmer in the 40s and I let the tractor warm up for a while. Did not encounter the problem at all except when getting off the seat. I did notice that the lever for the seat switch sprung back easily, whereas last time I checked it did not.

Well I learned a lot about my tractor through that ordeal. I'm happy it's done. I successfully installed the 3rd function kit yesterday afternoon. :-) It went better than I thought it would. Now I'm waiting for a non-rainy day to get out there are use my tree puller.

Are these the 3 lines going from the block to the loader control? If so I checked those and they look correct according to the LA765 instructions.

Dealer said they will look into it. Tractor is still under warranty, but I'm not sure if something like this would be covered. It's a kubota loader. I'm not sure if FEL valve is original or not.

Dave, Thanks for that information on the hose routing. I was able to identify and confirm that those 3 lines are hooked up to the correct ports on both ends. I will report back after I top up the fluid levels.

Yea I should have told them I had ordered the wrong one. I've spoken with them on the phone several times and they've always been very helpful.

I actually asked them what it would cost for the kit with the flat faced couplers and they said about $80 more.

Just checked hydraulic fluid levels and they are barely on the dipstick. Do you think that could be my problem? Going to pickup some oil when places open again on Monday and top it off.

In case anyone orders the WR long 3rd function kit and needs to switch out for flat connectors, here's a link to what you need. A set of Flat Face 1/2" Body Hydraulic Quick Connect Couplers 1/" NPT Thread. In my case this was for a L4701, but I'm guessing it's the same for most compact tractors.
