Short answer is yes. You typically need 2hp per KW output, so your 28hp tractor would be good for about 14 kw before it’s starts to bog down. If you get a 540 rpm generator, you could use the 1000 rpm on the bigger tractor and run it at less than half speed to get 540 at the PTO shaft.

This pump had 780 hours on it, I’d say you called it pretty well. The wrench is very much like a distributor wrench, but the wrench end is like a 12pt tubing wrench with a magnet to hold the nut in it. Not sure if that makes sense, I’ll take a picture next time I’m in the hangar.

If it doesn’t have a filter to take the suspended particles out, that was the conventional thinking. However, most non detergent oils have the bottom of the barrel additive packages, making detergent oils a better choice in engines without an oil pump or filter as well.

Is it one of the models that runs the engine backwards for reverse rather than use a transmission?

Nope. It’s got 4 ball looking wheels across the front of the deck. The weak point the the shoulder bolt that mounts them. The replacement uses a larger OD bushing and a through bolt. It appears to be a much stouter attachment. I bought a set of 4 wheels and hardware, I’ll replace them as they fail.

It will work fine without the cross over relief until you catch the edge of the blade on something. The relief will allow the blade to angle, likely preventing damage, either mechanical or hydraulic. Not required to function “normally”, but cheap insurance against the abnormal.

I would certainly agree. I have had several of them over the last 50 years, I don’t think that I ever sold one for less than I paid for it. In some instances a lot more than I paid.

Pull individual conductors, I’d suggest THHN, you could probably pull a dozen #6’s through 1-1/4 pipe. I would never suggest pulling a jacketed cable through conduit.
